Black Report (ブラックレコード, Burakku Rekōdo—lit. "Black Record") is a record detailing the existence of the Shadow and all of the crimes committed against them by the Hunter Association.[1]

Appearance[]

The Black Report is a black book with a red Hunter Association stamp mark on its bottom. It also has a brown envelope with another red Hunter Association stamp mark and an untranslated red stamp mark over a faded top-secret red stamp mark taped onto it.[1]

Background[]

The Black Report came into being to document the Shadow and their covert operations in different countries for the Hunter Association, as well as the group's eradication at the hands of Netero. In addition, it contained information about the terrible things that the Hunter Association, namely Garcia and the Hunters he hired, did to the descendants of the Shadow, who were described as innocent people who were heavily oppressed by the nation.[1]

Plot[]

The Last Mission[]

During the Battle Olympia event at Heavens Arena, Jed, Shura, Rengoku, and Gaki, alongside hundreds of Shadow Hunters, take all of the spectators of the event, as well as Netero, hostage.[1]

Jed speaks with Beans over a video call after the building has gone into lockdown. He demands that the Hunter Association release the Black Report to the public, or all of the hostages, including Netero, will be killed, giving them ten hours to do so.[1]

However, Jed, Shura, Rengoku, and Gaki are all defeated before the end of the ten-hour time limit and before the Black Report can be released, so the information inside is never made public knowledge.[1]

Ultimately, the Black Report gets locked away in a safe deposit box at an unknown location.[1]
