Synopsis[]

Chap 128 - Gon and Killua starting the game

Gon and Killua starting the game

Killua meets up with Gon and thanks him for waiting, also sensing that they're being watched. Gon says that everyone else went in one of two directions, and Killua correctly guesses both of them, saying that that's where he feels the eyes from. The two decide by rock-paper-scissors which way to go, and making their way across the plain, Gon tells Killua that Ging only left behind a message telling him to enjoy the game. The two discuss the information about the game they got from the woman at the Starting Point, with Killua still confused as to how they even get items. Gon says that they need to gather information, and so they need to find a town.

Back in Battera's Castle, after the last player enters the game, Battera asks Tsezguerra about the current batch, and Tsezguerra says that he will need to stay focused. He checks his watch and says that he should return to the game since he will lose his memory card data if he doesn't get back within ten days.

Elsewhere, at the Phantom Troupe's hideout, Shalnark looks up information about the game and asks Shizuku and Kortopi if they want to come with him. He tells Shizuku that it's not to clear the game, and that the two of them may be safer there for the upcoming week. In the end, Shizuku and Kortopi agree to accompany him. Back in the game, as Gon hears something in the distance, the two suddenly spot something in the sky rocketing toward them.

Latarza - Chapter 128

Latarza confronting Gon and Killua

With his book open once he lands, another player confronts them and easily recognizes that the two kids are new since they didn't open their books as well. He uses "Peek" to learn both their names and that Killua has no cards in his free slots. After deciding that using "Cling" on them would be a waste, he gleefully activates "Trace" on Killua, who tries his best to dodge the spell, but it quickly strikes him. The player is happy with his decision at first, saying to himself that gathering information on other players is crucial to the game, but Killua's bloodlust soon frightens him so much that he uses "Return" to flee, rocketing toward Masadora.
