Synopsis[]
After obtaining "Wild Luck Alexandrite", Gon's team now has 55 cards, but Killua points out that they're all A and B-rank. Biscuit adds that they've used up all their "Analysis" and "Guidepost" cards, prompting Killua to wish that they had an "Eye of God" card. Gon is suddenly contacted by Kazsule, and although Gon offers to trade "Tome of a Thousand Tales" and "Pearl Locusts," Kazsule says that the trade can wait, asking them to meet up and talk. He explains that a three-man team led by Genthru is getting close to clearing the game. He says that he has invited others as well to meet two kilometers northeast of Masadora, adding that they should at least come to exchange information.
Including Kazsule and his two teammates, fifteen players attend the meeting. After Kazsule repeats his reason for summoning them, he reveals that Genthru's team has 96 cards and stresses that they need to come up with a strategy. Killua speaks up and asks how one finds out the rankings, which annoys a player named Asta who wants to return to the subject at hand. Kazsule and his team stress that information exchange is also a purpose of the meeting, and Kazsule explains that one can find out who has the most cards by asking a trade shop, adding that if they pay extra, they can find out which cards people have. Asta jumps in and adds that they still have to meet the new players to be able to cast "Contact" or "Fluoroscopy."
Nick Cue says that they know Genthru is working with Sub and Bara, with Genthru holding all 96 cards and the other two holding duplicates. He stresses that they only need four more cards to clear the game, and Kazsule starts with No. 000, which they believe to be an event card that can only be obtained after someone collects 99 cards (meaning that Genthru's team only needs three more cards). He urges that they need to monopolize one of the remaining three before Genthru's team collects it. Asta suggests overwhelming them with spells, but Kazsule explains that since Genthru's team already has "Paladin's Necklace," the only attack spell worth using would be "Levy," which would also be ineffective in certain situations. Gon wonders what those would be, and Montreux says that when someone has a "Fortress" and 11 "Clone" or "Mimic" cards. Nick Cue explains that not even "Levy" can affect a page protected by "Fortress," which would make their spells useless if Genthru's team is protecting all their pages.
Asta then suggests using force, but Yabibi replies that they don't know what abilities the three of them have. The group agrees that the most realistic option is to work together and monopolize a card, but Asta speaks up and says that while she agrees with the plan, she doesn't approve of all the members, pointing toward Gon and Killua. Kazsule reminds her that all six teams met the prerequisite of holding more than 50 cards, but Asta says that they also need to offer something useful to the group. Gon reveals that they know Genthru's ability, and Killua adds that they have one of the three remaining cards. Asta is content and asks them about Genthru's ability, but Killua turns the tables and asks if she has anything useful for them. Asta says that her group has 71 cards, then offering to give Killua an A-rank card in exchange for the information. Killua quickly declines the offer and says that they need two S-rank cards or information just as useful.
The two continue to argue back and forth over the details, but Kazsule finally jumps in and asks them to work together. The two groups eventually convince Killua and Asta respectively to work together, and Gon's group receives "Pregnancy Stones" and "Shield of Faith" for the information on Genthru. Gon explains that Genthru's abilities are Countdown and Little Flower, both of which he uses to blow up his targets, stressing that they all should do their best to keep their distance from him. Both Asta and Hanse realize that Genthru touched them, with Killua and Biscuit eager to collect more cards in exchange for more information. Asta asks how the ability can be removed, and Gon says that they have to say, "I caught the Bomber" while touching Genthru. Killua yells at Gon for ruining their plan, but Gon says that he didn't want another fight, further telling Asta that the bomb's timer starts after Genthru explains his ability and that she should be safe if she stays away from him.
Asta feels compelled to share information in exchange, explaining that the two ways to cast spells are to say them aloud and to put them on the last page of their book. Gon says that they already knew both ways, but Asta adds that if they have the spell on the last page, it can be canceled out. She uses an example with "Fluoroscopy" and says that the list of players they've met will come up on the screen, but if they take the card out without hitting "enter," the spell won't get cast and they can keep seeing the list of players again and again with that same card. She also reveals that all B-rank cards can be bought at trade shops, explaining that they need to shop at the same one more than 50 times and the shopkeeper will mention it. Killua realizes that that's how they get the monthly prizes, and Asta continues by asking them if they have multiple "X-Ray Goggles." Gon says yes, and she explains that it will make getting "Beauty Magnet Emerald" and "Mystery Pond" easier (both of which are S-rank cards).
She offers another card, but Gon politely refuses, which angers both Killua and Biscuit. After Yabibi and Goreinu also provide information, Kazsule gets the group's attention again and asks which of the three cards they should monopolize. Killua reveals that they have "Wild Luck Alexandrite," but says that it may not be practical to monopolize since only one can be obtained per team and the conversion limit is 20 (which is too many for a monopoly). Several members are impressed and already begin asking if they can trade Killua for the card, but Kazsule tells them to do that later. Others also mention that getting 19 "Clones" so quickly will be impossible and worry about if someone else already has the card. Someone uses "List" to check and sees that five others have it. Hanse checks "Tree of Plenty" and sees that three people already have it, while Montreux sees that no one has obtained No. 2 yet. Amana uses "Guidepost" and learns that the card is in Soufrabi. The group then uses an "Accompany" card to travel there.
