Chap 164 - Razor's devils thwarting Goreinu's revenge

Razor's devils thwarting Goreinu's revenge

As the ball flies into the air and Goreinu begins to celebrate, Killua is glad that they will force Razor to use "back" early. Suddenly, Number 13 throws Number 2 toward the ball, and the smaller devil keeps it from touching the floor and tosses it back. With the others left stunned, Number 13 throws the ball and hits a speechless Goreinu in the face, knocking him unconscious. Razor catches the rebound and praises Goreinu's ability, telling him to nurture it. Biscuit protests in anger, but Razor calmly says that they didn't break any rules and headshots are legal, adding that if the ball had touched the floor, he (Razor) would have been out.

Goreinu's black gorilla vanishes and Razor understands that the ability was being controlled remotely, informing them that if Goreinu wakes up during the match, the black gorilla can start inside the court. He doubts that that will happen, and the referee adds that if they run out of players before then, they will lose the match. Kess and Rodriot examine Goreinu's injuries, with the latter saying that he won't be strong enough to conjure his Nen beast even if he does wake up.

The ball turns 90 degrees

While both teams are down to three players inside the court, Rodriot knows that theirs is struggling more, with half of them sitting out and an injured Gon acting as the retriever. He adds that their opponents have multiple retrievers, Razor is not only still inside the court, but also hasn't used his free out yet, and his team has possession of the ball. As Killua, Biscuit, and Hisoka ready themselves for the next strike, Razor uses an underarm throw and hurls the ball directly toward Killua. He realizes that he won't be able to catch it, but when he goes to dodge, the ball suddenly changes course and curves toward Biscuit and Hisoka.

Biscuit quickly jumps out of the way and Hisoka barely dodges the strike, but a devil catches the throw and hurls it at point-blank range toward Hisoka's face. The others are left worried, but Hisoka expertly uses his Bungee Gum to slow the ball's momentum and catch it, leaving him with a bloody nose and a cut above his left eye. After realizing that Razor was trying to take out both Biscuit and Hisoka at once, a tense Killua knows that if he had moved to the left, the ball would have undoubtedly hit him. The referee suddenly declares that Biscuit is out, ordering her to step outside the court. Rodriot and Barry are confused by the decision, and as part of Biscuit's dress is shown to be torn, she angrily realizes that clothing counts as being hit.

Gon uses the team's "back" and returns inside the court, with Barry assuring Rodriot that he is more than just a kid since he's the only one who has tried to block a throw from Razor. Biscuit asks Gon if he's okay and tells him not to go too far, but Gon just keeps repeating "yeah." She even asks him what the answer to 1+1 is, but he gives the same reply. She finally gives in and tells him to beat Razor even if he kills him, with Gon sternly answering that he will. After Gon tells Killua that he's fine, Hisoka says that he learned that the ball becomes less destructive once it goes to a retriever, and he shows only two broken fingers on his right hand from not using Ko.

Chap 164 - An enraged Gon adamant about crushing Razor

An enraged Gon adamant about crushing Razor

Hisoka realigns his broken fingers, and while Killua says that their priority should be to dodge Razor's throws, Gon disagrees and replies that it wouldn't be a true victory. Killua seems both confused and angry, telling Gon that he should just be happy with a win, but Gon points out that if Killua had moved to the left earlier, he would have been killed by Razor's throw. With his anger boiling inside him, he tells them that a cheap win won't be good enough, determined to achieve a complete victory over Razor. He says that he has an idea, getting the ball from Hisoka and telling Killua to stand in the middle of the court. He then tells him to bend his knees and to hold the ball out to his side. Killua realizes what the plan is, and Gon begins charging up Rock as the others look on with nervous anticipation.
