Face-Off: Part 8 (
Synopsis[]
As Razor sees the enormous increase in aura on the other side of the court, Gon finishes his chant and uses Rock to send the ball flying from Killua's hands toward the largest of Razor's devils. Number 13 catches the shot, but the force is so great that it knocks the devil outside the court. The others wait for an announcement, and the referee says that Number 13 is out since it caught the ball while touching outside the court, adding that Gon's team will also have possession. The members of Tsezguerra's team loudly cheer after the successful strike, but Gon says that it wasn't good enough, with Barry chuckling at how crazy Gon's standards are. Gon says to himself that the strike won't be strong enough to push Razor out, adamant that he needs more power.
Biscuit tosses the ball to Killua, who gets into position again and holds the ball out to his side, confidently telling Gon that they will go after Razor next. Gon repeats that he needs more power to beat Razor, suddenly expanding his Ren so much that the others are left in disbelief. Standing behind him, Biscuit tells Razor that he chose the wrong sport since Gon can build up his Ren as long as he wants. She advises him to move out of the way, but Razor shrugs it off and prepares for the incoming strike. Gon tells himself to take the aura he has amassed and to focus it into his fist, and the others watch with varying emotions as he charges up another Rock and unleashes it to send the ball flying yet again.
Killua says that it was a perfect strike and that there's no way Razor can catch it, but the Game Master bends his knees and readies his arms as if to receive a volleyball spike, bumping the ball high up into the air and doing a backflip to land on his feet. Hisoka notes his strategy to eliminate the ball's momentum, and Biscuit comments on how perfect his timing was, realizing how skilled Razor really is. Gon is left motionless at first, but he then gives a big smile and can't believe how awesome Razor's block was.
Grinning back, Razor says that there's more than just dodging and catching, even though the bump wasn't that helpful. Kess and Rodriot comment on how effective Razor's bump was at eliminating the momentum of Gon's strike, but as the ball is seen falling above Razor's head, Hisoka suddenly uses his Bungee Gum to snatch it out of the air. He playfully reminds Razor that he needs to hang on to the ball, and the referee declares that with the cushion rule in effect, Razor is now out. A grinning Razor immediately uses his team's "back" before even leaving the court.
