Chap 166 - Killua hiding his injured hands

Killua hiding his injured hands

The referee confirms Razor's use of "back" and says that he will remain inside the court. Kess and Rodriot are confident that their team has the advantage now, but Tsezguerra disagrees and says that their team is in worse shape, with Hisoka's throwing hand injured and Gon having used up almost all of his aura. Kess asks if Killua is the only one left who is fine, but Tsezguerra reveals that Killua is actually the one who is the most injured. As Tsezguerra's teammates wonder what he means, sweat pours down Gon's face as he lets out an exhausted sigh. Killua wonders how he's doing, and Gon says that his next strike may be the last one he can do, adding that he will use everything he has left. Killua smiles and tells him to make it a good one, but internally he tries to assure himself that he can bear through one more strike, hiding both his hands in his pockets.

Tsezguerra tells his comrades that Killua hasn't been using any Nen to protect his hands when Gon hits the ball, and Kess can't believe it since Gon's strike is like a cannon. Tsezguerra explains that Killua's hands are acting as the cannon's barrel, and if he used aura to protect them, it would slow the strike's momentum. He reveals that both of Killua's hands are most likely in worse condition than Hisoka's right hand, leaving his comrades very worried. He regrets being knocked out early and chides himself for not being on the court with them, confident that he could use his aura on his hands the very moment the ball is struck.

As Tsezguerra seems to realize something, Biscuit stands outside the court and asks Hisoka for the ball, saying that she isn't good at throwing but accurately striking Razor's last devil on the foot and taking it out. The ball lands at Razor's feet, and he smiles as he picks it up. Tsezguerra calls a timeout and asks the referee if a player inside the court is allowed to freely step outside. The referee says that they can, but they will then have to stay outside.

Chap 166 - Biscuit forcing Killua to reveal his injury

Biscuit forcing Killua to reveal his injury

Tsezguerra takes Gon to the side and says that he can hold the ball for him if he steps outside the court. He explains that Killua won't be able to hold it well enough given how injured his hands are, while he (Tsezguerra) will be able to put aura around his hands quickly enough. He assures Gon that it's the only way to defeat Razor and win, but both Gon and Killua say that it would be copping out. Tsezguerra wonders why they care about that, but he begins to cough with pain, and Killua tells him that he is hurt as well, adding that he shouldn't make it any worse. He assures Tsezguerra that his hands aren't as badly injured as he thinks, but when Tsezguerra tells him to show them, Killua refuses and adamantly repeats that he's fine. Biscuit, however, comes up behind him and pulls his arm back, revealing a severely swollen and bruised right hand.

Tsezguerra asks Killua if he can even feel anything except pain, but Killua assures Gon that he can hold the ball one more time. Tsezguerra tries to get Gon to convince Killua otherwise, but Gon reveals that he knew all along about Killua's hands. With Tsezguerra in shock, Gon tells him that he isn't stepping out, apologizing, and saying that only Killua can hold the ball. He explains that he's only able to focus completely on hitting the ball because Killua is the one helping him. Killua gives an embarrassed smile and tells Tsezguerra to go rest. After Tsezguerra wishes them good luck and walks away, Killua reminds Gon that they still need to get the ball back from Razor, but Gon already has something in mind, whispering it to him and Hisoka. Chuckling, Hisoka says that it would be fun and is willing to try it, but Killua is left unsure, telling Gon that he thinks up the weirdest ideas.

Chap 166 - Gon, Killua, and Hisoka prepared to get the ball back from Razor

Gon, Killua, and Hisoka prepared to get the ball back from Razor

A smiling Gon tells Killua that he is counting on him, and the referee then resumes the match. Razor suddenly undoes all his conjured devils and takes back all his dispersed aura, with Hisoka saying that they will see his true power now. Gon gives a nervous smile, and Razor holds the ball out in front of him, focusing his aura around it and saying to himself that he didn't think he would have to use a certain move. As he comments that he hasn't felt so good in a long time, he tosses the ball high into the air and the others realize that he's planning to spike it like a volleyball. Kess quickly directs their attention to Gon, Killua, and Hisoka, who are seen crouching together to receive Razor's strike.
