Face-Off: Part 10 (
Synopsis[]
As Razor leaps into the air and prepares to spike the ball, Kess gets the group's attention and tells them to look at Gon, Killua, and Hisoka, who are shown crouched together waiting to receive the attack. Saying to himself that he knows what the three of them are trying to do, Razor spikes the ball with tremendous force and sends it rocketing toward them. As the ball makes contact, Gon attempts to stop it, Hisoka traps it with his Bungee Gum, and Killua acts as the group's brace, straining hard with his legs. The three struggle to contain the force of the strike, but as the smoke clears and everyone looks on, Gon is seen holding the blood-smeared ball, with the wounds on Hisoka's face opened up and Killua lying on the floor, his hands still visibly injured.
Tsezguerra's teammates begin to loudly cheer, and Gon gives them a wave of recognition. Razor is impressed by the group's accomplishment and begins to analyze their strategy internally, admitting that their skills proved more effective than his power and revealing that Killua was the key to their success. He says that Gon put all his aura in his hands to stop the ball's momentum, praising his bravery and focus to take the strike without fear. Next, he says that Hisoka was able to cover the ball with his ability right when it struck, praising his quickness which prevented the ball from bouncing away.
Finally, Razor says that Killua acted as a cushion and support by expertly shifting his aura between his body and legs. He explains that too little of the former would have caused the group to be crushed by the ball and too little of the latter would have sent them flying outside the court. He praises Killua's preciseness and says that the margin of error must have been less than 1%, stressing that the shifting of aura is the most important aspect of Nen combat.
Biscuit also praises Killua's talent internally, saying that she didn't reach his level until she was in her late 20's. Razor is confident that he could attack the group until they're exhausted, but he worries about the amount of time it would take, deciding instead to defeat the group right after their next attack. He praises the power of Gon's strikes, but remains confident that he can catch the ball without getting knocked out, planning to take the group out one by one. After Gon wipes the sweat and blood off his face, he says to himself that he needs more power, suddenly expanding his Ren even more as it billows around his body. Tsezguerra is frightened by the display of power, and Razor realizes that his last use wasn't his strongest. As Gon gives a sly smile, Razor says to himself that Gon is a monster, adding that Ging can be proud of his son's strength. Gon tells Killua that he plans to go all out, and Killua replies that he would have told him off if he hadn't. Gon begins his chant, and as the others look on with nervous anticipation, he fiercely unleashes his Rock to strike the ball.
