Declaration of War (
Synopsis[]
Gon makes sure that he didn't mishear Razor, who confirms that he will tell Gon about Ging, asking to talk with him in private. Biscuit patches up Killua's injured hands and worries that they may not work right again. She tries to get his attention, but Killua glances over at Gon and Razor in the corner of the gymnasium. Razor starts by revealing that Ging isn't on Greed Island and that he doesn't know where he is. Although he seems disappointed, Gon states that he figured as much. Razor then offers to tell him some old stories, and Gon is eager to hear them.
To Gon's shock, Razor reveals that he's also a death row convict and has killed as many people as Bopobo did. He says that Ging caught him and put him in jail, but after his sentence, Ging hired him and brought him to the island. He reflects on Ging's kindness, saying that he taught him that if a single person in the world believes in you, you can be redeemed. A flashback to a younger Ging, who tells Razor that his son will come to Greed Island one day. He orders Razor not to hold back and to use everything he has. The younger Razor chuckles and asks if it's okay to kill him, but Ging smirks and tells him not to underestimate the boy since he's his son. He pats Razor on the shoulder and says that he's counting on him.
Back in the present, Razor holds his own hand to his shoulder and says that he thought Ging was crazy for talking about a game for hours and then hiring a convict to fight his son. Razor then remembers when he was a boy himself, with various people talking down to him and calling him everything but his name. He remembers Ging's use of his name and his words of encouragement, saying that he envied Gon. He tells him that it felt like the first time someone had called him by his name before. Finally, he says that he believed in Gon just as Ging had, assuring Gon that he went all out during the match. Gon points out that he only won because of the help from his teammates, and Razor praises their teamwork. As he turns to walk away, Razor says that he hopes Gon can see Ging one day, and Gon enthusiastically thanks him.
After leaving the gymnasium, the group follows the Plot of Beach NPC to the top of the lighthouse. According to her, the entrance was in front of the pirates all along, and she leads the group to a window through which the shore can be seen. Tsezguerra and Goreinu wonder how they can get to the sea cave from the lighthouse, and the NPC reaches out through the window and pushes in one of the bricks on the wall below. As both Gon and Killua realize that it's a button, a beam of light shoots out from the lighthouse's beacon and hits a particular spot on the ocean.
The NPC says that an underwater cave lies right beneath the spot, but then reveals that no treasure is there, apologizing to the group for lying to them. She adds that since the location is sacred, it isn't told to many fishermen, which caused the rumors about treasure to spread. She says that the pirates didn't believe them, wondering if they should have told them about the location (though she knows that they would have thought they were lying). As she continues to stress that the fishermen didn't reveal the location to anyone since they couldn't let the ocean be defiled, Gon listens intently to the woman, but Killua has to remind himself that it's just a story in a game. The NPC is happy to have the view from the window again, taking in the sunrise, the boats, and the light shimmering across the water. After describing it as the greatest treasure, she suddenly transforms into the "Plot of Bleach" card.
Gon celebrates and Killua says that they should quickly use "Clone" on it. They give the two copies to Goreinu and Tsezguerra, the latter of whom says that Gon deserves to keep the original. Gon makes sure that Hisoka doesn't want anything before he leaves, but Hisoka assures them that he has had enough fun. Killua asks aloud if he wants to stay with the group, saying to himself that they should keep an eye on him, but Hisoka says that he isn't interested if they are going back to collecting cards. He tells them to use a "Contact" card if they need him, adding that he will use "Accompany" or "Magnetic Force" to reach them.
As Hisoka walks down the stairs and vanishes from sight, Killua suddenly realizes that he must have known about spell cards before they met up with him, since they never cast "Magnetic Force" in front of him. Biscuit tells Killua that the two of them are the type of liars who lie for a reason, while Hisoka is the type who doesn't have a reason sometimes, stressing that he shouldn't over-analyze Hisoka's motive. Outside the lighthouse, Goreinu reveals that he has joined Tsezguerra's team, and Tsezguerra asks the three if they want to join as well. He reminds him of the inevitable fight they will have to have with Genthru, stressing that his ability will put them at a severe disadvantage.
Once Tsezguerra adds that Genthru must have initially learned Nen to kill people, a player suddenly uses "Contact" on Tsezguerra and asks if he recognizes his voice. Tsezguerra immediately knows that it's Genthru and asks what he wants. Genthru first congratulates them, but when Tsezguerra asks what he's talking about, Genthru tells him not to play dumb, watching the group with a spyglass and saying that he used "List" to confirm that they acquired "Plot of Bleach." He tells them that they can live if they hand over the card, but as Tsezguerra quickly refuses, Genthru hears something off in his voice, asking if he's injured or bluffing. He remains confident in his combat ability and tells Tsezguerra to come alone to the gate at Masadora in one hour if he agrees to the deal. He warns Tsezguerra that they won't be able to run or hide since they have plenty of "Accompany" cards.
Tsezguerra is left frustrated and can't believe how fast they learned that his group had acquired the card. Genthru gives six names and asks if they were part of the original group of fifteen, telling the group to check those names in their books. Gon quickly summons his book and sees that the light beside those six and even more are out. Gon yells Genthru's name and Genthru wonders who he is. Gon yells his full name in reply and angrily declares that he will fight Genthru, surprising both Killua and Biscuit. Elsewhere, Phinks contacts Hisoka and says that they found "him," adding that they will fly over right away. Hisoka chuckles as he looks at his opened book.
