Summary[]

Chap 171 - Tsezguerra's team going on the offensive

Tsezguerra's team going on the offensive

With three cards left to collect (No. 0, "Plot of Beach," and "Wild Luck Alexandrite"), Genthru reminds Tsezguerra that he told him to come alone. With four cards left to collect (No. 0, "Angel's Breath," "Wild Luck Alexandrite," and "Blue Planet"), Tsezguerra replies that his team couldn't agree and were still discussing things, but he suddenly reveals that they have decided to fight. They all pull out cards, and as Tsezguerra leaps far back, Kess, Barry, and Rodriot cast "Levy" before Tsezguerra uses "Accompany" to transport them all back to Masadora. Genthru opens his book and tells Sub and Bara to check their cards. Both confirm that they only got useless cards from their free slots. Genthru says the same, and Sub decides that it's time to take their cards and kill them. Genthru, however, thinks that it will difficult since Tsezguerra seems completely determined now.

In a forest, Goreinu meets up with the team and gives them six "Accompany" cards, nine "Drawbridge" cards, two "Magnetic Force" cards, and 24 "Return" cards, saying that he used all the money he had. They tell him that they will see him again in three days and that he should earn money to buy more cards. After Goreinu leaves, they wonder if Genthru will come after them, but Tsezguerra replies that he won't yet since he can easily use "Clairvoyant Snake" to see that they have twice as many as "Accompany" cards. He then confidently says to himself that he will show Genthru what a Single-Star Hunter can do.

Chap 171 - Biscuit training Gon to block Genthru's Little Flower

Biscuit training Gon to block Genthru's Little Flower

In the badlands, Gon and Biscuit are seen trading strikes, with Biscuit suddenly grabbing Gon's wrist. Gon uses Gyo around the area, but Biscuit reprimands him for being too slow, telling him that he needs to react once he feels his skin being touched and not to wait for his mind to catch up. Killua watches the two as they train some more, but Biscuit then tells Gon to take a ten-minute break and to prepare for Emission practice. She thinks to herself that while Gon's stamina is good enough, they won't have enough time if they have to focus so much on defensive training. She realizes that they need another weapon in the upcoming fight.

Biscuit begins level two Emission training and calls it floating hand, doing a handstand and holding the position. She then emits aura from her palm and propels herself around a foot off the ground. She says that Gon passes when he can reach the same height. Gon gets into position and tries his best, but doesn't move at all. She tells him to keep trying as long as he can maintain the position. As Gon tries over and over again, Biscuit asks Killua about his hands, and he replies that it hurts to move them at all, worried that they aren't getting better.

Chap 171 - Biscuit showing her ability to Killua

Biscuit showing her ability to Killua

Killua comments on the Emission exercise and says that it seems a lot harder for just being one level up. Biscuit then reveals that it's actually level five Emission training, explaining that if Gon fails to learn it, they will have wasted three weeks, but that going at the normal pace won't be enough to face Genthru. She adds that he needs to be able to push someone back at least 12 feet for the attack to be an effective weapon. Killua mentions that the attack won't be a finishing blow since it's just level five, and Biscuit confirms that it's just meant to give them more options. Killua asks about Biscuit's ability and says that knowing it will make it easier to come up with a strategy. Biscuit suddenly forms a woman out of aura and introduces her as Cookie.

Biscuit explains that Cookie's massage techniques melt away fat and make the recipient feel refreshed. She adds that aura can be transmuted into a special lotion that smooths and revitalizes skin. Lastly, she says that Cookie's shiatsu massage improves blood circulation and eases constipation and stiff muscles. Killua is left speechless and asks if that's all her ability does, but Biscuit happily tells him that she also does Swedish and rolling massages (and much more). As the two yell back and forth about whether the ability is useless or the best ever, Gon keeps trying to pass the level five Emission exercise.

Chap 171 - Bara and Sub getting annoyed by the hit-and-run tactics from Tsezguerra's team

Bara and Sub getting annoyed by the hit-and-run tactics from Tsezguerra's team

In a forest, Genthru, Sub, and Bara are seen sleeping up against the trunk of a large tree. As Bara awakens and suddenly senses something, someone throws an arrow right toward Sub, but Bara catches it before it can reach him. The two wonder if it's Tsezguerra's team, and as Genthru tells them not to bother, someone in the distance uses a "Return" card to travel back to Soufrabi. Bara breaks the arrow in half out of anger and says that they are getting bolder since the throw was clearly meant to kill. Sub worries less about that and more about how they keep finding them. He says that they obviously aren't using "Accompany" or "Magnetic Force," and they haven't cast "Trace" on them either. Genthru surmises that someone in their group has an ability that works like radar. Bara and Sub ask him what they should do if there's no way to stop them, and Genthru says that it may be time to use drastic measures.
