Three-Way Struggle: Part 7 (
Summary[]
As Genthru moves in close to strike, Gon deflects his arm with his left hand and quickly jumps back as Genthru prepares to use Little Flower with his other hand. While Genthru thinks to himself that Gon is quick on his feet, he asks aloud if Gon already knows that he is the Bomber. After an anxious Gon says that Tsezguerra told him, Genthru becomes serious and asks who told him about his ability. A shiver runs down Gon's spine, and he can't believe how quickly Genthru figured out that he knew, recognizing his much more experience. Genthru warns Gon that few who have learned about his ability have lived to tell anyone about it.
However, Gon stays calm and opens his book, reminding himself to not allow Genthru to control the situation. He tells Genthru that he hates people taking cards by force and sternly orders him to promise that the one who surrenders first hands over all his cards. Genthru replies that Gon shouldn't be making demands in his position, but Gon angrily says that without a deal, he won't open his book again even if it results in his death. After calling Gon crazy like himself, Genthru agrees to the deal and opens his own book, saying that he has 131 cards and 97 unique specified slot cards. Gon says that he has 102 cards and 71 unique specified slot cards, and Genthru confirms that Gon is carrying both "Plot of Beach" and "Wild Luck Alexandrite."
Satisfied with the arrangement, Genthru readies for battle again and Gon charges up his Ren opposite him. Genthru says to himself that while Gon's Ren is good, he has a long way to go, charging up his own Ren in reply. Gon is taken aback at first but quickly refocuses, suddenly charging toward Genthru and remembering Biscuit's advice. She had told him that offense is the best defense and that if he uses 90% of his aura in his fists, they will receive minimal damage from Genthru's Little Flower. As Gon also remembers her advice to not be afraid to attack, he throws a punch and a kick but Genthru easily dodges both. He quickly regroups and throws another kick down on Genthru, who blocks the strike with both arms.
Genthru internally praises Gon's cleverness but describes the control of his aura flow as basic and unable to match the speed of his attacks. He also says to himself that Gon has no actual combat experience, but Gon remembers more of Biscuit's advice, with her saying that Genthru has considerably more aura and experience than him. She had added that while he won't be able to hurt Genthru much, he should keep attacking anyway. Gon charges toward the Bomber again and slides down before charging back up to throw another punch, but Genthru easily anticipates it and strikes him in the face with a hard right.
Sent flying far back, Gon coughs up blood on the ground and Genthru again asks who told him about his ability. He quickly changes his mind and says that the answer doesn't matter since he won't even have to use his ability against someone like him. As Gon continues coughing up blood, he says to himself that things are going according to plan, remembering Biscuit's words that he needs to seem as weak as possible so that he can lead Genthru into the trap. However, Gon clenches his fist in anger and turns to fight Genthru again, saying to himself that he hates being on the losing end and adding that the plan can wait until he makes Genthru use his ability. Genthru smirks and says that Gon looks like he wants to feel more pain. He quickly throws a hard kick, and even though Gon blocks it with both arms, he is left stunned by the strike and Genthru follows up with a strong punch to his midsection, causing him to cough up even more blood.
