Birth (
Synopsis[]
Eager to be born, the King forcefully rips open the Queen's womb, causing severe injuries to his mother. All the Squadron Leaders rush to her aid when they hear her screams, but the King pays no attention to his dying mother, ordering the gathered Ants to prepare him a feast. When Peggy does not heed his order and rushes to the Queen's side without hesitation, the newly-born King beheads him with his tail. Colt looks on in terror, and the King tells them to not make him repeat himself, ordering them to prepare a feast.
As the King comments on how filthy the nest is, telling them to show him a bigger and brighter room, he spots Colt and orders him to wipe the blood off his tail. Seeing an opportunity to get in the King's good graces, Turtle offers to clean it with his handkerchief, but is decapitated as well. The King once again orders Colt to clean his tail, warning him not to make him say it twice. Colt obeys as the terrified Squadron Leaders look on.
After his tail is cleaned and he once again asks for his food, the three Royal Guards arrive and kneel before him, stating that his meal has been prepared. Each stresses that they are there to provide whatever he needs and to obey his every order, and the King accompanies them away from the others. The Squadron Leaders rush to the Queen's side, who is now in critical condition. Colt asks Octopus how she looks, and he says that it's very bad, revealing that several of her organs have been crushed beyond repair and that she won't last long. Desperate, Colt rushes after Neferpitou and pleads them for help, saying that their power was able to fix a certain human. Pitou slowly turns around to look at him and says that they only fixed the human because they needed him, but since the King has now been born, they don't need the Queen anymore, referring to her as a thing and leaving Colt in shock.
Pitou informs the King that his meal has been prepared at the top of the nest, adding that it has a nice view. The King says that it will be faster to go from the outside, and he punches an enormous opening in the side of the nest and uses his tail to propel himself to the top, spotting something flying away from the nest. Shaiapouf follows, opening his butterfly wings and using them to gracefully fly up. Following suit, Menthuthuyoupi manifests a pair of wings on his back and tries to follow Shaiapouf, but is unable to maintain balance and crashes into the side of the nest, realizing that he needs to practice.
When the King bites into the meat prepared for him, he quickly spits it out and complains that it tastes bland, saying that when he was in his mother's womb, he would occasionally be treated to a delicious meal. Neferpitou tells him that it was the meat of a rare human, and the King continues to crave it. Elsewhere, Morel and Knov are seen in a nearby cave and spot something approaching them in the distance. Knov prepares a portal for them to hide in, but Morel tells him to wait, and as the figure gets closer, it's revealed to be Colt carrying a white flag. He tells the two Hunters that the Ants will surrender on the condition that they save the Queen's life. He tells them that she can't give birth anymore and that the King has already been born, leaving Morel and Knov in shock since it's too early. As the King and his Royal Guards leave the nest, Colt describes them as evil.
