6: Part 9 (6—⑨, Roku (Kyū)) is the 252nd chapter of the Hunter × Hunter manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.
Synopsis[]
The four trucks reach a large door in the palace courtyard. Marcos exits one of the trucks, and someone asks over the intercom if he has the "meat". Marcos replies that everything has been arranged, and the door opens as the trucks make their way through. Knov watches stealthily behind a corner and goes over the plan from Marcos to sneak Palm in with the other women for director Bizeff. As the rain continues to fall, Knov makes his way outside of the palace and falls to the ground, breathing heavily and thinking he's far enough away to be safe.
But he suddenly huddles up, and his entire body begins to tremble as he fears for Palm's life. He thinks back to the sinister aura he encountered, saying that his spirit was broken just at the sight of it, and wonders how Gon and Killua are able to face Pitou's aura again. He brings his hands to his face and through his hair, wondering if saving Kite and humanity is what keeps the boys going. He thinks back to Palm again and desperately begs her to be careful, knowing that she will be killed if she's caught. As he continues to worry about Palm's safety, he declares that he can never go back to the palace.
In an underground hangar, the truck drivers unload a number of large crates, with Bizeff telling them to leave the last truck behind. The drivers make their way back, and Bizeff drives the last truck further inside, gleefully inputting a code as he enters Area D and reveals his own private hangar filled with numerous houses and a fountain in the center. He opens the back of the truck and assures the five women that it's okay to come out, informing them that they will work here for the time being and that each will have their own private room. He assures them that they will receive any necessities and can do anything except try to escape, with their only job being to obey him. Finally, he tells them that they will come to his quarters as quickly as possible when paged. All the women understand his orders, and Bizeff picks out the tallest one to come with him, telling the others to wait in their rooms.
Two of the women are relieved to have made the cut and embrace each other. Palm looks on and knows she has to find a way up to the palace in order to see the King and Royal Guards. It's explained that once Palm has caught a glimpse of someone with her own eyes, she is able to use her crystal ball to observe them at any time. She can then inform the other Hunters of what the Chimera Ants are doing, allowing them to use that information for any critical decisions they have to make. Palm spots just one exit and knows she will need Bizeff to leave, reminding herself that the most important part of the mission is not that she succeeds, but that she ends her life as quickly as possible if she's caught.
