Synopsis[]
Shoot retrieving Morel's pipe
The punch from Knuckle was supposed to send Youpi flying, but it only moved him a couple of feet to the side. The interest of A.P.R. is only at 590, and Knuckle comments that it's taking forever for ten seconds to pass. Unaware of the attack, and having lost Morel amid the smoke, Youpi becomes even more enraged, but returns to his senses as he sees a figure flying up above. With his right leg broken, Shoot stands with his other leg on one of his flying hands--something he had never tried before, but which he knew would be his signature move. He also covers his right eye with a piece of his clothing, only because he enjoys how dire the situation was. He takes flight and moves all around Youpi with another of his flying hands, putting him on the defensive to retrieve Morel's pipe. Morel thinks to himself about getting drunk with the two once the mission is completed, and, using the dust from the destruction of the staircase to spread his smoke throughout the palace, he takes his leave to find Pouf, who is stated to be in the throne room.
Gon and Killua had dodged Youpi's attack and head for the third floor of the central tower, planning to jump from the second floor of the right tower. The two-pass Ikalgo on his way to the elevator leading to the basement, and it's stated that his ability, Living Dead Dolls, allows him to control a corpse host and that Flutter's compound eyes were the reason why he safely avoided Zeno's Dragon Dive.
Killua dispatching two soldier Ants to protect Ikalgo
An overview of the palace is shown, focusing on the locations of several characters five seconds into the invasion. As Gon and Killua make for the stairs, the latter notices two soldier Ants out of the corner of his eye, both standing in front of the elevator. Worrying about Ikalgo, Killua sprints toward them, but questions his decision, especially since he was the one who was so adamant to the others about focusing on their own tasks. Ikalgo wonders why he's running that way, and even with his mind panicked, Killua's body acts rationally, using the speed and accuracy of his yo-yos to quickly destroy the Ants' heads. To finish the job, he handily tears off their arms and puts holes in both their chests. Ikalgo witnesses the massacre, but Welfin also catches sight of the attack from a side hallway, unseen by Killua and Ikalgo. In the meantime, six and a half seconds into the invasion, Gon reaches the top of the right tower and immediately recognizes the smoke surrounding the throne room.
