Synopsis[]

Chap 271 - Zeno prepares Dragon Head

Zeno using Dragon Head to transport Netero and Meruem away from the palace

The King deduces the two men's plan to separate him from the Royal Guards and says they can take him wherever they choose to resolve the situation. The two men glance at each other, and ensuring his Nen has no ill-will within it, Zeno uses Dragon Head to transport Netero and the King away from the palace. Gon and Killua watch on, with the latter saying that Pitou is in the left tower and then leaping toward it. He had said "let's go" before jumping, and Killua wonders how he meant it, but fears that if he asks Gon directly, his answer would forever change things. And so Killua follows after him, not saying a word.

Chap 271 - Shoot fighting against Youpi with no fear

Shoot fighting against Youpi with no fear

Ten seconds before Netero and the King left the palace, Shoot and Youpi continue their fight, and it's stated that Shoot's reckless strategy of not fearing death was actually the reason he was still alive. He uses Hotel Rafflesia to take one of Youpi's eyes, and even though the damage inflicted was effectively nothing, it causes Youpi to waver and become hesitant. But both remain resolved to keep the other away from the King. As Youpi's attacks gradually weaken Shoot, Knuckle watches on helplessly, unable to do anything since it would confirm to Youpi that there's another enemy around. Seeing his friend covered in blood and continuing to fight, Knuckle begins to sob and begs that he hangs on.

From the two sets of doors near the elevator, Cheetu and Bloster walk down the hallway toward Ikalgo (disguised as Flutter). Welfin continues to stay hidden, surmising that Flutter and the person who killed Inzagi and Maenole must be working together. Cheetu and Bloster confront "Flutter," and the latter asks him what happened to his wings. He says he was attacked, and Cheetu asks if he's going down the elevator. Ikalgo says he's acting on Hagya's orders, and the other two wonder what they should do, since they weren't told to defend the palace. As Cheetu says he wants to try out his new ability, Zeno's Dragon Head shakes the palace, and Cheetu and Bloster go their separate ways, leaving Ikalgo alone. However, both Bloster and Welfin linger on the fact that Ikalgo used the name Hagya.
