Solution (
Synopsis[]
As Gon continues to yell at Pitou, it's stated that the Chimera Ant was oblivious to any of his words because they were focusing entirely on finding a solution and carrying out the King's orders. Pitou tells themself that they need to protect Komugi at any cost, and Killua asks himself why Pitou isn't preparing to fight, noticing that they are leaving themself defenseless by not using any aura.
As Killua assures himself that Pitou couldn't defeat them without aura, he also notices that Gon's aura has completely changed and that Pitou wouldn't stand a chance against him. After considering the distance between the two, Killua compares Pitou to a mother protecting its young and is left confused by Pitou's behavior. He then remembers Zeno's words before they entered and wonders why his grandfather was so cryptic.
Gon envisioning the healing of Komugi as the torturing of Kite
It's then stated that as Gon looked at Komugi, he actually saw Kite being dismantled. As aura billows around him, Gon clenches his fist and walks toward Pitou, telling them to move away from the girl. After repeating his order and telling them to remove the monster, he orders Pitou to fight him so that he can make Kite whole. However, Pitou suddenly holds out both hands and bows their head, with Killua quickly recognizing the gesture's meaning. Pitou politely asks him to wait, but Gon is left stunned and angrily tells Pitou to get up. It's stated that while Gon didn't know where to direct his anger, Killua was beginning to understand the situation, realizing that Zeno accidentally injured the girl with his Dragon Dive.
Killua also realizes that the girl is probably the reason why the King hurt himself, guessing that she's special to him and that Pitou is healing her on his orders. As Killua realizes that Pitou's healing ability not only keeps them from using En but requires all of their aura to use, it's stated that Killua also understood that the entire situation would have a negative effect on Gon.
Gon questioning Pitou
As Killua wonders what he should do, Gon begins walking forward. Killua says Gon's name, but Pitou quickly interrupts him and assures Gon that they will do anything he asks, begging him to wait so that the girl's life can be saved. Gon is again left stunned and wonders what Pitou means. When Killua tries to question Pitou as well, Gon sternly says that he is the one asking the questions, again asking what Pitou meant by "save".
It's stated that Komugi's life depended on Pitou's answer and that while Pitou was unsure of what to say, they replied with the truth, answering that she is important to someone who is important to them. Pitou adds that the King became who he is because of her and that he wouldn't be himself anymore if she died. After Pitou assures him that they will do anything he wants after healing her, Gon is first left confused by Pitou's action and then becomes enraged once again, claiming that it isn't fair as he struggles within himself.
