Pouf remains serious at first, mentioning that he's downwind from Gon and Pitou, but seems to acquiesce, saying that Pitou is in charge as he begins to leave. But Gon tells him to stop and brings up the fact that he can manipulate people with his scales. Pitou begs him to do what he says, and Pouf is surprised, wondering why they care so much about Komugi. Pitou stresses that it's for the King's sake, and Pouf again tries to work out what changed while he was imprisoned. He promises to stay exactly where he is, but asks Pitou to tell him everything that's happened so far, understanding that if he were to ask about the King directly, Gon may silence him again. He hopes Pitou provides a subtle hint, making it sound natural, and is confident that things will become violent if they are unable to do so.
A.P.R. announces another accruing of interest beside Youpi, recovering after the recent explosion. He stands in the middle of the crater and thinks he can control his ability with one more attempt, quickly becoming enraged again before he forgets the sensation. As his body begins to transform, he calmly unleashes his anger, both creating and destroying, even though he still didn't fully understand why conflicting emotions could coexist. He emerges in his new form, that of a centaur, his right arm a sharpened blade and his left shoulder taken over by a large face, his left arm coming out of its mouth. Youpi realizes that rage has to be controlled and directed, laughing maniacally as he threatens to destroy his enemy.
He spots Morel amidst the doubles of Knuckle, quickly charging him and cutting him in half, only to realize that it's just another smoke clone. He laughs it off, asking them to make him even angrier. As he continues to destroy the doubles, with the face on his left shoulder storing the rage, it's stated that Youpi's multiple explosions and transformations had begun to consume his aura at an alarming rate. And so, even if he reduced his consumption down to the minimal amount, he would go bankrupt from A.P.R. in three minutes and 50 seconds, leaving him unable to use Nen.
Elsewhere, Netero and the King fly on Zeno's Dragon Head to a remote location. The dragon begins to disappear, and the two drop down toward the earth. Netero tells him this is where military weapons are tested, and so they can have an all-out battle. However, the King asks him why they have to fight since Netero has no chance of winning. Netero is slightly offended, telling him not to judge him by his appearance. But the King clarifies that he recognizes how skilled Netero is, but stresses that he alone was born to rule the world. At first, he considered humans only livestock, but after meeting those like Netero and Komugi, he believes there are a few who deserve to live. He considers sparing Netero if he backs down, but since it would only be his life that was spared, Netero says he cannot accept that proposal as he prepares to attack.
