Hidden Agenda (
Synopsis[]
The two continue their fight, and as the King breaks free from the grasp of the 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva, Netero uses another hand to slam him into the ground and into another pillar. As Netero approaches to unleash another attack, the King sits in disbelief, barely following Netero's afterimage and feeling complete admiration for both Netero and Zeno. Netero smashes him into the ground, but the King quickly recovers, appearing out of the rubble and coming within inches of Netero before he does his praying motion to beat him back with another hand. The King astutely recognizes that the movement of bringing his hands together is the only thing that surpasses his own speed. He wonders how Netero mastered such a risky technique and believes he must have been near insanity with the amount of time he spent mastering it.
Once again, Netero sends the King flying into the ground, but he easily recovers, acknowledging Netero's dedication to improving himself. Netero is not surprised to see the King unharmed by all of his attacks, and the King cites him as an exceptional human who has transcended his limits through effort alone. He commends him with a stern look, but Netero feels ridiculed by the insect and sends him flying yet again. However, the King quickens his speed by bouncing off the pillars, startling Netero as he races to deflect his incoming attacks.
It's stated that the King's strategy was simply to keep attacking, and since the 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva did next to no damage to him, he could remain unperturbed by the repeated strikes. He likens Netero to a puppet with strings and envisioning a Gungi match, plans to force him to reveal a new move by attacking from an angle that cannot be parried with a move he has already seen. Although Netero's combination of hands may be close to infinite, the King is confident that by predicting and disrupting his rhythm—something everyone possesses—he will be able to land a hit eventually. He assures himself of his victory, laughing maniacally as he launches toward Netero, and hopes that he can win his game before the old man completely collapses.
Netero notes his laughter and says he's enjoying the fight as well. He begins to analyze the King's movement, understanding how vital it is not to make even one mistake since a single strike could tear him apart instantly. He recognizes the importance of focus and endurance, and that when he runs out of moves to use, it could result in his death. But that's exactly what he wants the King to think, hoping he tries his best to checkmate him, as he plans to reveal his Zero Hand.
