Memories (記憶, Kioku) is the 301st chapter of the Hunter × Hunter manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.
Synopsis
Meruem emerges more powerful than ever after absorbing Pouf's and Youpi's power. Pouf and Youpi are overjoyed by this. However, they sense that Meruem is disturbed about something. Youpi and Pouf remind him of the food that awaits him at the palace, but Pouf is secretly concerned about his clone's arrival. Meruem speaks of a voice he heard call his name, though he doesn't know whether it was real or a dream. From this, they learn that he suffered memory loss. Furthermore, he cannot remember why he was there. Meruem orders them to explain what happened. Pouf asks him if he could remember their original forms and their servitude. Meruem responds that he could, accurately, but not after that. Pouf theorizes that his memories were temporarily lost after the explosion. He explains Meruem's one-on-one battle against Netero, and the suicidal bomb he used to try and finish Meruem off. The word "one-on-one" begin to trigger Meruem's memories about Gungi, but not fully...
