Alarm (
Synopsis[]
At a meeting with Kakin military officials, Mizaistom claims that the murderer wasn't motivated by stress, but rather, by desire. He declares that the murders are linked to the Succession Contest. The listeners refuse to believe that the Princes would harm irrelevant civilians. Nevertheless, Mizaistom explains that in the Princes' eyes (ignorant to the existence of aura and Nen), their powers have come because of human sacrifice. Furthermore, they will continue to kill to preserve and increase their abilities. He warns that the continuation of murders would lead to chaos, ultimately resulting in the Black Whale's demise, and urges swift action. This is because of the disproportionately small level of security placed on the lower classes. Mizaistom suggests redistributing the soldiers so that more would be on the third deck and below. Afterward, Botobai and Mizaistom discuss the fragility of peace and order in the current situation.
Ken'i takes Feitan, Phinks, and Nobunaga to the Cha-R Family base. He shows them the footage of the man who entered the warehouse, though there is no footage within the warehouse. Ken'i brings the Troupe members inside the adjacent door in exchange for their service to hunt down the killer of the Cha-R Family members. There, they meet Tsudonke and his squad, with whom, he pairs the Troupe members.
A martially enforced curfew is imposed on Tier 3 and below because of the string of murders. Corporal Mizuri, accompanied by some soldiers, finds Illumi and Kalluto on the tier. Illumi shows Mizuri his ID ticket, and Mizuri wonders why a VVIP is in the lower tiers, eventually offering to escort him back. However, after Illumi continues to refuse, Botobai and Mizaistom arrive, vindicating him by explaining that he is a Hunter. When the soldiers leave, Mizaistom asks Illumi if the Phantom Troupe is on board. Illumi confirms that every member is aboard the ship, but refuses to explain any further after Kalluto becomes angry that he revealed that fact. Mizaistom offers the two a place to stay and internally feels anxiety over the presence of the Spiders, especially about their relationship with Kurapika. He wonders whether he should inform Kurapika, who is already at a high level of stress. Once an assistant tells Mizaistom that they found someone without an ID, he tells Ginta and Botobai that they are in charge of the Zoldycks. The assistant tells him that several soldiers recognized her, and Mizaistom tells him to impose a gag order and put them into custody. He then enters the interrogation room and assures the individual that everything is okay, asking them for their help in explaining what happened. Wearing a dark jacket, the person is revealed to be Prince Fugetsu.
