Founding: Part 2 (
Synopsis[]
Lisores announces that there will be a special screening at the church and welcomes many of the children with snacks. As Chrollo helps hand them out, Uvogin suddenly appears behind him and says that he hears he's putting his video to good use, menacingly adding that he's looking forward to after the screening. Phinks and Feitan then approach Chrollo, with the former saying that they should play soccer together if he survives his meeting with Uvogin. Phinks is left confused when Sarasa holds a bowl of snacks near his face, and she asks him to help hand them out.
Phinks angrily wonders why he has to help, but when Lisores looks in his direction, and Sarasa continues to hold up the bowl, Phinks quickly takes it and tells the rejoicing children to get their snacks if they haven't taken any. Sarasa gives Chrollo two thumbs-up and tells him that Phinks has a gentle heart, adding that she will take care of Uvogin, too. Sheila tells Chrollo that he's everyone's "little brother" while the youngest (Sarasa) has to protect him. Chrollo is left embarrassed, and Pakunoda tells him that it's the way it should be. She points out that he brings flowers to the church every day for the graves and says that she likes him just the way he is, with Chrollo thanking her.
While he sets up the projector inside the church, Lisores tells the children to take their seats and wait until the screening starts. After the lights dim and the video starts, the audience cheers when they see the Power Cleaners. They are then left confused when the characters begin talking in their own language, realizing that someone must have redone the voices. Shalnark says that it sounds like Chrollo and Pakunoda, and Franklin replies that he knew the two of them were up to something. As the audience laughs at the scene where two female members have an argument over a guy while the obese male one nervously tries to calm them down, the four children wait backstage and are happy that the dub is a hit. Chrollo praises the three girls and their timing, but Pakunoda says that he was more amazing since he voiced every male character and gave them all unique voices.
However, the sound suddenly cuts off before the video stops as well, leaving the audience disappointed. Backstage, Chrollo asks Lisores what the problem is, and he explains that the sound tape is tangled up, saying that while they could cut it to fix the problem, it would take a while. In the audience, one child wonders if it's broken, and another points out that it's to be expected in Meteor City since they only receive junk. After Chrollo asks Lisores for the microphone, Uvogin yells from the back of the auditorium and wonders if Chrollo has nothing else to play, with Machi kicking him and telling him to be quiet. Chrollo lightens the mood by saying that he thought there was a break, and he ended up in the bathroom after eating too many snacks. He then uses the voice of the Yellow Cleaner, and the children can't believe that someone their age does the voice. He seamlessly switches between the voices of the Blue, Red, and Green Cleaners as well as the monsters, leaving even Uvogin surprised that he voiced so many characters.
Slowly raising his hand to silence them, Chrollo holds up three fingers and excitedly asks the audience for a countdown. The children follow his instructions, and the video begins at the end of the countdown, with Chrollo and the three girls voicing the characters live. Once the graffiti monster named Graffino appears, Chrollo's maniacal performance leaves his friends both impressed and frightened. However, he again seamlessly transitions to a much calmer voice and leaves everyone impressed by his performance. The group continues to voice the characters as Chrollo switches between heroes and villains, with the Power Cleaners finally combining their powers and using their "Clean Sweep" move as a group. As the audience cheers and applauds, several children are seen mimicking the Cleaners' moves, with Lisores shaking Chrollo's hand and giving him a pat on the head.
In a forest outside the church, the others praise Chrollo's performance, but he tells the three girls that he couldn't have done it without them. He then spots Uvogin, Machi, Phinks, and Feitan waiting for him in the distance. Franklin says that he doesn't have to face them, but Chrollo replies that he brought it on himself by taking the video. However, before he can walk more than a few steps toward them, Sarasa quickly walks toward Uvogin and then turns back to Chrollo, excitedly saying that his performance was amazing and that he isn't so bad after all. With Chrollo and Uvogin left confused, she points to Uvogin with a finger gun and happily says that she was dubbing him, causing most of the others to smile.
Uvogin then asks Chrollo if there were more episodes on the tape, and Chrollo confirms that there are at least eight episodes. Uvogin asks to play the monster next, and Chrollo is left surprised. Nobunaga asks to play the Green Cleaner, Feitan the Yellow Cleaner, and Phinks the Blue Cleaner. Shalnark happily picks the genius scientist in the love triangle with Purple and Pink. Franklin says that he will be the Disgust-King and asks Machi for her choice, but she quickly declines. Holding out his hand, Uvogin tells Chrollo that his performance hit him harder than any punch he has ever taken, and Chrollo happily shakes his hand.
The group is then seen performing together at the church, working on their scripts, and making their own props. Machi refuses the role of the good princess and tells Uvogin to play her, adding that she will only join in if she gets to be a villain. Franklin says that the Disgust-Queen is the next villain, but Pakunoda points out that since the Queen is Purple's twin sister, Sheila should play the dual role. Phinks suggests Sarasa for the role of the princess since the Orange Cleaner has a small role, but Chrollo points out that the two characters have a big scene together two episodes later.
Shalnark wonders if they should recruit more people, and Franklin asks if that makes them an official group. Uvogin happily points out that they are a theater company, but Nobunaga says that he thinks of them more as traveling performers. Pakunoda suggests calling themselves a troupe, but Chrollo says that a troupe is supposed to have a thousand members. Uvogin tells him not to worry about the details and adds that each of them is worth a hundred members. The group decides to go with the troupe and says that they just need to find another word to put in front of it. Phinks wishes that they could find the rest of the episodes, and Uvogin comments on his fruitless search, wondering if any more tapes are out there.
Nobunaga suggests that Chrollo could write an original script for them to perform like a regular play, pointing out that the audience enjoys watching them more than the screen now. Sheila adds that many of them are watching Chrollo, asking for his opinion. He says that it would take too much time and too many resources to put on a performance without a video since they would have to make the costumes and choreograph all the fight scenes. He adds that they still have time to think about it since they have three more episodes, and Uvogin suggests that they should try to predict where the show is going to go after the day's rehearsal. Sarasa comments on Uvogin's passion, and he says that while he was only doing the bare minimum at first, he now has a goal he wants to reach. Chrollo asks him what it is, and Uvogin replies that he wants to tour around the world with him and become the world's greatest villain.
Later, Chrollo asks where Sarasa is, and Phinks says that she left since she has sorting duty. Chrollo is worried that she went by herself, but Shalnark assures him that she will be fine since her community is nearby. They explain that she doesn't need to rehearse since the Orange Cleaner only has to answer the phone and say her catchphrase in the current episode, adding that she swapped shifts since she will be busier for the next rehearsal. Elsewhere, Sarasa happily walks alone through the piles of trash and says that she can't wait to see the others' faces when she finds a new video, adding that none of them know about the pile of tapes at the corporate dump near Uga Forest. She also says that since she memorized how "Power Cleaners" is written in the official language, she can easily find the tapes by the title. Inside the van with the three child hostages, one of the men says that the residents are becoming more vigilant and suggests ending their hunt in Meteor City since they met their quota. However, he laughingly adds that if they find one more, they can have a lot of fun.
