September 2: Part 2 (9月2日(2), Kugatsu Futsuka (2)) is the 80th chapter of the Hunter × Hunter manga, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.
Synopsis
Gon Freecss, Killua Zoldyck, and Leorio Paradinight have already earned total of eight million Jenny from Gon's arm wrestling auction. However, they still need to earn nine billion Jenny for the minimum cost of Greed Island. Killua worries that no one else will come to challenge Gon now that the rumor of him being undefeated spreads. Leorio, on the other hand, assures Gon and Killua that the arm wrestling is only a bait to lure the "moles" in.
The next day, they proceed to another arm wrestling match, but the people are hesitant to participate. A large man steps forward to challenge Gon, but the man's large hand cannot hold onto Gon's. Leorio proposes to switch placed with Gon, but another man intervenes. Leorio informs them that they can earn five million Jenny and the diamond if they can beat him. He instantly beats the challenger, which prompts another man to advance and offer them a map.
Leorio leads Gon and Killua to the promised place. They find a boxing ring within the basement and an ongoing conditional auction. The announcement takes place: a hide-and-seek. Men in suits distribute pamphlets that bear the faces of seven members of the Phantom Troupe, though the participants are not aware of them. Leorio and Gon recognize Shizuku from yesterday's arm wrestling challenge. The host declares that the winner will receive two billion Jenny for each head of the target. Leorio gets psyched up from the idea of earning fourteen billion if all targets are caught. After paying for the five million entrance fee, Leorio urges his friends to start the search. However, Killua dismisses the idea, saying that they will not catch the targets. He thinks that it is the way of the Mafia to find solution to a problem. Leorio guesses that the targets stole the auction treasures. All three then come into one conclusion: their target is the Phantom Troupe.
