Izunavi tells Kurapika he is a Conjurer using the Water Divination test. Kurapika wishes he was an Enhancer for more defense and offense abilities. Izunavi tells him he can still learn those abilities. Meanwhile, back in the present, Kurapika still has Uvogin in his chains. Uvogin is confused about how Kurapika can use Enhancer and Conjurer powers so well. Uvogin's face gives this away, and Kurapika explains he's using Specialist powers.
In a flashback, Izunavi explains the rules and percentages of Nen users. Kurapika asks why Specialization is 0%, and Izunavi tells him if he isn't a Specialist, it's very hard to become one, but there's still a chance. He explains if he maxes out his Enhancer ability, it'll only get to 60%, which would be bad if he fought an opponent who is a master Enhancer. Feelings are what create Nen, and the stronger a user's feelings, the stronger the Nen. One can even exceed 100%. Kurapika asks if a balanced Conjurer can fight an Enhancer, and Izunavi says it's difficult, but yes. He explains a conjured saber isn't as good in a fight as a real one, so being a Conjurer is difficult to use as a fighter. A Conjurer must train and know exactly what they want to conjure for it to be the most powerful. Kurapika decides on a chain. His decision came from thinking of the Phantom Troupe. Izunavi reminds him that won't work, but only if his vow and limitations are strong enough, this will make the chains all the more powerful.
Back in the present, Kurapika tells Uvogin when his eyes turn scarlet, he becomes a Specialist. Uvogin then remembers killing the Kurta Clan and becomes overjoyed. He tries to break the chains, powering up a great amount. A flashback shows Izunavi explaining that the stronger a condition, the more powerful the Nen power. However, if he goes back on this condition, it could cost him his life. Kurapika will only use the chain power on the Phantom Troupe and will die if he breaks it. Back in the present, Uvogin can't break the chains. Kurapika says he can control any Nen category when his eyes become scarlet.
