Synopsis[]
A Mafia member being controlled by Shalnark
Standing at the entrance of the Cemetery Building, Kurapika looks at his phone and remembers Gon and Killua's words about wanting to help him against the Phantom Troupe. He and several Mafia members outside suddenly see a large explosion in the distance and run to see what happened. A fellow Mafia member stumbles out with his gun drawn and says that they were helpless against the powerful group, suddenly firing toward his comrades to show how powerful the Troupe is. Kurapika dives for cover as the bullets rip through many of the Mafia members.
As the rogue Mafia member laughs maniacally and continues to fire upon his comrades, it's revealed that he's being controlled by Shalnark with a cell phone-like device, sitting in a nearby tree and watching a first-person perspective on the screen. The Mafia member is finally killed, causing the screen to go blank, and a disappointed Shalnark says that he needs to look for another puppet with his Black Voice ability.

Back inside the Cemetery Building, a worried Bean is seen talking with someone on the phone and asking where reinforcements are. He suddenly hears the sounds of gunfire and destruction over the phone, and looks out the window to see a large explosion, worrying that the 2,000 armed men are all being killed. As the destruction is shown all around the building, Bean runs for cover and tells someone by phone to contact the Ten Dons immediately.
Many of the Mafia members angrily ask for their weapons back as they begin to panic over the chaos outside. However, at the top of the staircase, Silva punches the wall to get their attention and Zeno introduces himself, leaving them stunned that the Dons would call on the Zoldycks. Zeno reveals that one of the perpetrators is inside the building and that many of the hired assassins are already dead. He explains that he could kill them all in less than seven seconds even if they had their weapons, adding that the enemy is equally skilled and telling them to stay calm for now.
After Silva finds Assassin D dead and determines that he was killed by a single strike with no bloodlust from the killer, Zeno begrudgingly says that he will need to use En and suggests that they start on the roof and corner the attacker in the basement. Silva points out that he would need to cover a radius of 100 meters, and Zeno replies that he can easily cover 300 meters, adding that they're not getting paid enough for the job.

The two Zoldycks work their way down the building and, after entering a large ballroom, find Chrollo standing on the stage. After Silva warns his father that Chrollo can steal people's abilities, the three suddenly begin fighting as Silva throws a kick that Chrollo dodges and Zeno follows up with a series of strikes, one of which draws blood from Chrollo's left cheek. As Chrollo leaps back from Zeno, Silva follows up with a strong right punch which Chrollo blocks. However, Zeno takes advantage of this by shooting out a blast of aura, disorienting Chrollo as Silva drops down from above to crush him. Chrollo quickly rolls out of the way and pulls out a blade, moving forward to strike and forcing Silva to leap back.
Although the blade is broken, it's shown to have cut Silva's left arm. As Chrollo catches his breath and says to himself that fighting against two people is difficult, Silva recognizes that the blade is a Ben's knife and suddenly realizes that it's toxic based on the shape, tearing out some of his hair and wrapping it around his arm to stop the poison from flowing through his body. Zeno checks on his son, and Silva replies that it's no problem. A smiling Chrollo says to himself that 0.1 mg of the poison would paralyze a whale.

Zeno remembers what Silva told him and guesses that Chrollo is a Specialist, adding that he must need to meet four or five conditions to steal an ability. Chrollo confirms this internally and realizes how dangerous his opponent will be. Zeno also guesses that Chrollo won't try to steal their abilities during combat since it will be impossible to meet the conditions, pointing out that his use of the knife proves this. Realizing that he has no other choice, Chrollo tosses away the knife and readies his aura around himself. Zeno tells his son to cover him and kill Chrollo once he pins him down, even if he has to kill him as well.
