Plot[]
Hunter Exam arc[]
On a bus heading towards the volcanic Kukuroo Mountain, Coco Loo gives the tour bus passengers detailed information about Kukuroo Mountain, including that it is home to the world's most notorious assassins, the Zoldyck Family. She further explains that there are ten known family members living on the mountain: a great-great grandfather, grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, and five children, all of whom are assassins. They get off at the front gate, the main entrance to the Zoldyck estate, which Coco Loo introduces to the tourists.[1]
Coco Loo lets the tourists know that the front gate is as far as they go. Leorio is annoyed by this, and loudly complains to her about how they were hardly anywhere near the mountain. Coco Loo agrees, but tells Leorio that the entire mountain, and its forest, are Zoldyck property. Leorio and Kurapika are stunned into silence, but Gon asks Coco Loo how he can gain access. Coco Loo is annoyed but politely reminds Gon that they were at the estate of murderers, emphasizing that they shouldn't want access.[1]
Two menacing-looking tourists butt into the conversation on their way to the gate and call Coco's claim a buff. They head to the guardhouse and assault the groundskeeper for a key to the front door. The groundskeeper tries to stop them, but they take the key from him and use it to enter the gate. A few moments later, the door cracks open and the skeletons of the two men are discarded by a furry monstrous claw, terrifying Coco Loo and the other tourists. Trying her best to remain professional, Coco scrambles to explain to the bus tour passengers that, as they just witnessed, once inside, no one comes out. Coco and the bus tour passengers scramble to leave, but are surprised to see Gon and his friends decide to stay despite what they had just witnessed.[1]
