After Gon and Killua acquire the "Sword of Truth" card, Degiro along with some other players tail them, with the intent of stealing it. Immediately after Motaricke and Arka fail to steal the card, Degiro appears and brags about how he used a spell card to gather information beforehand which would allow him to take the "Sword of Truth" card with his "Mug" card. However, Gon manages to easily snatch away the "Mug" card before Degiro can use it, but returns it and warns him that he will take it for real next time. Killua informs Degiro that he's a mere amateur compared to a professional Hunter like Gon, adding that his dependence on spell cards has made him out of practice. As the two boys walk away, Degiro yells that their tactics won't last long since they will encounter much more skilled players.[1]
Later, Degiro's name is mentioned in Gon's binder.[2]
