Dogman (ドッグマン, Dogguman) is a member of the Heil-Ly Family.[1]

Appearance[]

Dogman is a tall and very muscular man. His face is hidden by a dog mask that has the kanji for "dog" (犬)[note 1] written on its forehead. He has long black hair[1] and wears a short-sleeved white shirt, black wristbands, black pants, and sneakers.[2]

Personality[]

Like his fellow Heil-Ly members, Dogman has sadistic tendencies and no qualms about killing many people. He is currently the highest-leveled member, suggesting that he is the most effective killer within the family.[2]

Plot[]

Succession Contest arc[]

Dogman is seen with the other Heil-Ly members as Morena uses her Contagion on them one at a time and explains how her Nen ability works.[1]

In Morena's office, one member tells her that the butler they left in the VVIP area as a liaison to the Fourth Prince has gone quiet. With four members standing in front of her, Morena guesses that Tserriednich may be on to them and adds that their hideout will be discovered soon based on Gateaume's report. She proposes bringing one of Tserriednich's personal soldiers over to their side, revealing that one of them will go with Dogman to capture a guard. After Matvere (level 21) says that he would prefer to be the "organ", a back-alley doctor, hitman, and Manipulator named Sodom (level 31) volunteers for the mission.[2]

After giving instructions to the other members, Morena tells Dogman that he has the most important role, adding that she needs him to find what she's looking for. Dogman understands and replies that he needs to level up. Dogman is revealed to be an Enhancer, a professional wrestler, and currently level 36. Morena tells him to go to processing and take priority until he gets past level 50.[2]

Abilities & Powers[]

Nen[]

Dogman is an Enhancer. Having reached level 36 with Morena's Nen ability, Dogman's aura amount and output have been increased. He also obtained a Nen ability, which remains unknown.[2]

Togashi in Hetappi Manga Kenkyūjo R

  • Dogman's dog mask is a possible nod to the dog persona of the series' creator, Yoshihiro Togashi. His avatar is a dog face with glasses, and he has been depicted as wearing a dog mask at least twice: in Episode 50 of the 1999 anime adaptation and in the manga Hetappi Manga Kenkyūjo R (written and illustrated by Yusuke Murata).
