Don Freecss (ドン゠フリークス, Don Furīkusu) is the supposed author of Journey to the New World, a traveler's journal about the Dark Continent.[1]
Background[]
Over 300 years ago, Don traveled to the Dark Continent and wrote a traveler's journal consisting of two volumes: "East" and "West". While the "East" edition is in the hands of V6, the "West" edition was never found. According to Ging, there are three possibilities: it has yet to be found, it was never written, or Don is still working on writing it, which would suggest that he is still alive.[1]

- Don Freecss shares his surname with Ging and Gon Freecss but it is currently unconfirmed if they are related.
- Curiously, the image that appears when Ging introduces Don seems to contain a realistic picture-like image of a person with Asian characteristics smiling. However, this could be due to the phenomenon of seeing patterns in randomness—pareidolia.
