The East Gorteau Nen-using Soldier was a soldier stationed at the Royal Palace of East Gorteau, and was capable of using Nen.[1]

The East Gorteau Nen-using Soldier was a highly muscular man. He squinted his eyes at all times. He wore a beret hat, a lean T-shirt, trousers, and shoes.[1]

Little, if anything, is known about the personality of East Gorteau Nen-using Soldier. However he was shown to be an assuming and aggressive man who resorted quickly to violence, though understandable given his position and the unannounced arrival of the Chimera Ant King. On that front, it could be inferred that he was also a loyal individual to his superior, Ming Jol-ik. He was also confident in his hand-to-hand combat strength.[1]

Chimera Ant arc

When Meruem and his Royal Guards invade the Royal Palace of East Gorteau, they're confronted by an East Gorteau soldier. The Soldier speculates the Ants are militants from an enemy country and threatens to kill them. Unamused by the soldier's threat, Meruem grows ravenous and his loyal guard Neferpitou advises him to focus his eyes. Though Meruem already sees that the opposing soldier is a "rare prey" due to the clear display of its Ren.[1]

After Meruem kills the soldier, he consumes his remains, bolstering his power.[2]

Abilities & Powers

Little is known about the East Gorteau Nen-using Soldier's capabilities, but he seems to be confident about his combat skills, as he confronts enemies bare-handed. He is also shown to be able to use Nen.[1]

It is unknown when and how he learned Nen, as well as how much mastery he possesses, but he is shown to be at least capable of utilizing Ren.[1]
