Sightseeing × Landmark × Killua's House (観光×名所×キルアんち, Kankō × Meisho × Kiruanchi) is the 32nd episode of the original Hunter × Hunter anime. It first aired on June 17th, 2000.
Overview[]
Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika take a train towards Killua's home on Kukuroo Mountain. A tour bus takes them to the Door to Hades, a giant gate in front of the estate. A monster named Mike waits behind the gate, so Gon asks the security guard, Zebro, to call Killua and have him open it from the inside.
Synopsis[]
Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio's airship lands, and they sit in the airport discussing what to do next on their search to find Killua's home. They plan to take a train to Dentora and then find Kukuroo Mountain from there. As well as their first-class trip on the airship, they sit within the first-class area on the train and marvel at its luxury.

On the train ride, Gon and Leorio catch sight of Kukuroo Mountain from their window. Leorio and Kurapika try to plan their next steps, but Gon is under the impression that they'll easily be able to contact Killua and may be able to stay at his house. He voices this while brushing his teeth and spits toothpaste all over Leorio's tie.
When in the town, they speak with one of the locals who tells them about the guided tour bus that goes right to the Zoldyck estate. The trio hops on the tour bus and listens to the guided tour by Coco Loo, ominously called the Lamentation Tours. A few suspicious people on board ask how long the ride will be, and Coco tells them it'll be two hours. Kurapika assumes them to be bounty hunters.

Once they arrive at the estate, Leorio gawks at the looming Testing Gate before their party. Gon asks Coco how they're meant to get inside, and the group is disappointed to learn that the tour doesn't go any further. When Gon tries to ask Coco again about getting inside, she warns them that they'd never make it back out again if they did.
The bounty hunters step forward, disbelieving Coco's warning, and approach the Testing Gate with a handful of dynamite. The other tourists scatter out of the way as they throw it, and Zebro watches it happen from his station. When the smoke clears, everyone is surprised to see that the explosion did not damage the Testing Gate.

Zebro comes out to talk to them, and the bounty hunters threaten him to get him to open the gate. He refuses them as they shake him around, and eventually, his keys fall to the ground. Zebro tries to warn the bounty hunters not to open the small door they're unlocking, but they do it anyways. The door closes behind the bounty hunters, and soon their screams fill the air. When it's finally silent, Mike drops the bones of the bounty hunters outside the door for Zebro to clean up. The tourists all scramble to leave, but the trio tells Coco they will stay behind.
At Zebro's station, Zebro talks with the three boys, telling them they're the first people to visit as friends of someone in the family. Still, he tells them he can't let them in, or they'll die due to Mike. Kurapika questions how Zebro gets inside, and he tells them he doesn't use a key, which is only there to lure threats of the Zoldyck family to Mike. Kurapika discovers the main gate isn't locked, and Zebro confirms this.

Once outside again, Leorio attempts to push and pull on the gate, but it doesn't budge. Zebro removes his jacket and shirt to reveal that he is very muscular and pushes on the gate with considerable effort. The first set of doors open and then slam shut once he lets go of them. Zebro explains how heavy each set of doors on the gate is, and Gon considers a different option for getting in. He asks if Zebro can call the house on the phone and tell Killua that they're there to see him. Zebro doesn't seem willing to comply with this due to specific rules of the house, so the trio sits in front of the gate in protest, swearing that they won't leave until Zebro calls.
As night falls, Zebro watches Kurapika and Leorio fend off, pack off wild beasts that roam the area, and come to attack them, and Gon befriends one of the beasts. Eventually, Zebro gives in, saying he'd be upset if Killua's only friends got eaten overnight, and uses the phone at his station to make the call. The phone rings throughout the Zoldyck house.
