Gyro and his father

Gyro and his father

Throughout his childhood, Gyro endures profound abuse at the hands of his alcoholic father. He suffers frequent beatings and lives in constant fear that even the faintest sound might wake his father. To avoid punishment, he disciplines himself to control his bladder throughout the night. Despite these harrowing circumstances, he perceives his father as a god, shaped by the lesson, "Don't make trouble for others," which he internalizes deeply.

Regardless of his father’s cruelty, Gyro continues to idolize him for two pivotal reasons: at five years old, he suffers from a life-threatening fever, yet his father stays by his side all night, tending to him with care; and, more importantly, his father never demands that Gyro leave their home.

However, Gyro’s feelings toward his father shift drastically when a coworker reveals the harsh truth: the only reason his father kept him around was for the money he brought home, and it wasn’t his father but a kind neighbor who had cared for him during the fever that nearly took his life; his father made no effort to care for him. The revelation shatters Gyro’s perception of his father, and in a fit of rage, he attacks the man who exposed the truth. Overcome by primal fury, he lashes out at the man who revealed the truth, only to be overpowered and beaten mercilessly. Gyro looks up to see his father walk past without a second glance, offering no help or concern. Gyro finally understands: his father never cared for him, and the values he preached were nothing more than selfish manipulations.

This betrayal cements a grim truth in Gyro’s heart: the world has never given him anything. With a numb resolve, he grabs a hammer, the weight of his rage surging through him, and kills his father without hesitation.

Nine years later, Gyro establishes himself as the ruler of NGL, driven by a twisted purpose: to spread suffering and ruin lives through the distribution of the lethal drug . Currently, Yunju’s squad eliminates Gyro’s soldiers and seizes control of the drug factory, further advancing their takeover.

The situation in NGL worsens as the Chimera Ants relentlessly slaughter humans at their discretion, while Pokkle’s team observes in utter helplessness. After hearing from Cheetu about soldier ants killed by firearms, Colt meticulously gathers information from Peggy by examining the corpse. He discovers that some humans possess special abilities that the Chimera Ants lack, yet he is convinced that these skills can be assimilated. Peggy expounds on the remarkable human aptitude for learning and cautions that if the Chimera Ants come to understand that the Queen renders them vulnerable, humanity will stop at nothing to eradicate her. Colt’s rage mounts as he warns Peggy that they will staunchly defend their Queen. He assures her of their commitment to protect Reina, even as he grapples with the disconcerting uncertainty of her identity.

Meanwhile, Pokkle and his team find themselves unable to communicate with other Hunters about the crisis, prompting their decision to evacuate NGL. However, their escape is abruptly interrupted by an ambush from a pack of Chimera Ants. After witnessing Pekuba's brutal death, Pokkle manages to eliminate one Chimera Ant using his Nen ability, but he is soon confronted by another Ant in the form of a spider. He releases another arrow, only for it to be effortlessly caught by his opponent, who possesses an acute understanding of Nen. The Spider-Ant retaliates with a ferocious assault, forcing Pokkle to evade the attack, but Balda becomes ensnared in the webbing and is gruesomely killed when the Spider-Ant bites off his head. Consumed by rage, Pokkle responds with a relentless series of punches aimed at the Spider-Ant. Just as he is about to deliver the finishing blow, he suddenly collapses, incapacitated by a sting from Zazan’s tail. Zazan commands that Pokkle’s body be taken to the Queen, believing he contains the nutrients of a thousand humans.

As she flees for her life, she is suddenly ambushed and shot down by a Gun-toting Ant who fires multiple rounds before devouring her remains. Meanwhile, Kite, Gon, and Killua receive Ponzu's distress signal, prompting Kite to ask whether they will join him in facing the peril that lies ahead. Before proceeding, Kite instructs Stick and Podungo to evacuate NGL and report the dire situation to the Hunter Association. Determined, Kite, Gon, and Killua race toward their destination, only to find Ponzu's blood and torn clothing scattered across the ground. They discover a bullet linked to NGL, but Kite and the others realize that the massacre has been perpetrated by the Chimera Ants. Kite’s apprehension grows as he contemplates the catastrophic combination of NGL and the Chimera Ants, fearing it to be the worst pairing imaginable
