It was released by Shueisha on March 2^nd, 2001 in Japan and by Viz Media on November 7^th, 2006 in English.

Summary

Gon and Killua manage to escape from Nobunaga by busting through walls and creating exits for themselves. By this time, Killua has realized from the Phantom Troupe's questions that the chain user is none other than Kurapika, and he suggests to Gon that they ask Kurapika how he became strong enough to kill a Spider so quickly.

Meanwhile, the Mafia has hired several professional assassins to deal with the threat of the Troupe so the Underground Auction can be held. Among them are Killua's grandfather and father, Zeno and Silva Zoldyck. At the same time, Neon Nostrade escapes from her bodyguards, intent on participating in the auction herself, regardless of the danger. She is picked up by Chrollo, who has disguised himself in civilian clothing. He gets close to her, requests a fortune for himself, then steals her ability with his own ability, as he had planned all along. Chrollo knocks her out, has an ambulance take her away from the building so she is safe, then orders the Troupe to descend on the Cemetery Building, killing all the Mafia members in their way. He also kills all of the hired assassins aside from Zeno and Silva, who tracks him to the building's basement using En. A battle ensues, but at the last moment, they receive a call from Illumi, stating that he has fulfilled Chrollo's contract hit on the Ten Dons. With no paying clients, Zeno and Silva leave the scene, with Chrollo injured but alive.

In the aftermath, the Troupe provides fake corpses, created with Kortopi's ability, and a faked message from the Ten Dons stating that the Spiders have been killed. They auction off copies of the real auction items, taking the Mafia's money in the process. The Mafia eventually learns that the Troupe is connected to Meteor City and considers calling off their hunt for the Spiders. Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio reunite at a hotel in the city, with Kurapika revealing the details of his ability and expressing his desire to move on from hunting the Spiders. However, Killua stresses that the remaining members will continue to look for him, adamantly suggesting that they stop them and secretly hoping for the reward money as well. At the Troupe's hideout, as Nobunaga questions his order to leave the city after the auction and prefers to find the chain user, Chrollo conjures his book and tells Nobunaga to answer his questions.
