Tamazo (タマゾー, Tamazō)[1] is one of the two announcer personalities along with Gantai who are covering the Kakin Empire's voyage to the New Continent on the Black Whale.[2]

Appearance[]

Tamazo Full Body

Tamazo's full-body appearance

Tamazo's appearance matches her name as she has big round eyes and her hair is braided in five different sections that each appear like a collection of balls. She is short and wears a sleeveless dress with multi-sized ball-shaped orbs scattered over it, matching shoes, and large bloomers.[2]

Personality[]

Befitting her announcer persona, Tamazo has a vivacious personality and gives extensive details to all the spectators regarding the special events before and after the Black Whale's departure.[2]

Plot[]

Succession Contest arc[]

Broadcast on several giant screens, Tamazo and Gantai start the opening ceremony of the Black Whale voyage on the biggest stage with the biggest monitor. Psyching up the audience and asking them if they are ready to not only witness but experience history, the two present the very man who made it all possible: Nasubi Hui Guo Rou. After the King gives a succinct speech, the two direct the audience's attention to the second stage where Beyond Netero and the Kakin Royal Family are introduced. An airship carrying the King flies toward the Black Whale and then the other airships holding the Princes and VIPs follow suit as Gantai and Tamazo add that ferries will transport the general public to the large ship. The two then tell everyone to celebrate and enjoy the festivities as people are seen partying in the streets and inside clubs.[2]

Chap 383 - Gantai and Tamazo

Tamazo and Gantai on the night of the banquet

On the night of the eighth day of the voyage, the two return to host the first banquet.[3] They welcome the guests to the first Sunday banquet and first announce that they have planned a concert hosted by the Royal Family. They then reveal that Eighth Prince Salé-salé has taken ill and won't be able to perform. However, the two reassure everyone that they have many exciting performances on the program. In addition to introducing all the performing acts and praising them for their talents once they finish, Tamazo and Gantai put on a talk show after the intermission and before Keeney's piano solo. After Keeney's piano solo, they introduce Melody as a Music Hunter who can play a number of instruments, pointing out that the flute is her favorite as she prepares for her flute solo.[1]
