The Gordeau Desert is located in the outskirts of Yorknew City. After their first attack on the Mafia's underground auction, the Phantom Troupe is chased down and confronted here. Afterward, a large number of Mafia gangsters are slaughtered by Uvogin, including nine Shadow Beasts. The next evening, Uvogin is killed by Kurapika in a duel and buried here.
