Hae (ハエ, Hae) is one of the Heavens Arena's Floor Masters. He only appears in Hunter × Hunter: The Last Mission.[1]
Appearance[]
Hae is a short, gaunt man with thin, hairy arms and legs. His head looks unusually large compared to the rest of his body. He has pointed ears and big, round eyes circled by creases. His hair is short and dark, with two gray streaks departing from his temples. Hae's nose is so small that only his nostrils are visible. His face is stubbly, and he seems to be missing a few teeth.[1]
Hae's usual apparel is comprised of a light green scarf, a darker green coat with tucked sleeves, worn over a white shirt, a light brown, striped obi, gray knee-length pants and Japanese sandals (geta).[1]
Plot[]
The Last Mission[]
Hae is first seen in Hunter × Hunter: The Last Mission entering the arena at Heavens Arena with the other Floor Masters at the start of the Battle Olympia, walking in front of Ga.[1]
Later on, Hae is in a training room with the other Floor Masters. While several of them are training for their upcoming matches, Hae is preoccupied with trying to calm down two of the other Floor Masters who are arguing with each other. Hae appears quite nervous and frantic.[1]
Jed enters the training room and swiftly knocks out all of the Floor Masters and injects them with his blood.[1]
Gon and Killua later get trapped inside a room with Hae and eight of the other Floor Masters, who, under the influence of On from Jed's blood, begin attacking the two boys. After being repeatedly knocked down, the Floor Masters still get back up and shamble after Gon and Killua, who manage to escape the room and leave the nine Floor Masters behind.[1]

Not much is known about Hae's abilities, but the fact that he is a Floor Master is proof enough of his power and proficiency in Nen. Still, he was defeated single-handedly by Jed. In a magazine held by Killua, Hae is depicted defeating an opponent much taller than him with a headlock, implying he is also agile and a capable martial artist.[1]
Magazine Finishers[]
- Neck Lock (Nekku Rokku): Hae performs a simple choke hold to suffocate the opponent.[1]
- Kyuuketsu (possibly "Sucking Blood" or "Blood Donation"): A technique Hae performs with the help of what seems to be a blow dart weapon or a straw. Judging by its name, it is possible that it enables Hae to suck his opponent's blood through open wounds.[1]
Trivia[]
- The character's name, written in kanji (蝿, hae), means "fly" (insect of the family Muscidae).
- Flies being attracted to blood and Hae's vampire-like appearance also represent a thematic link with his blood-related ability.
