Hunter × Hunter Arena Battle (アリーナバトル, Hantā × Hantā Arīna Batoru), officially shortened to "AriBato" (アリバト) in Japanese, was a mobile strategy card battle RPG game made by DeNA Co.,Ltd.. At the time of release, it had used the 2011 anime adaptation's first ending Just Awake for its theme, but later got an original theme. The game was officially closed on March 31st, 2023.

Overview[]

Arena Battle is a mobile game based on the board game Othello, or Reversi. The goal of the game is to bring your opponent's HP to zero by strategically placing character cards with various abilities in addition to using action and support cards to gain the advantage.

The game also contains original phrases voiced by the 2011 anime adaptation cast, and most of the character art is based on designs that appear on cards in Hunter × Hunter Battle Collection.

In addition to the main game, a promotional RPG and special camera were created:

  • Hisoka's Game of Examiner (ヒソカの試験官ごっこ, Hisoka no Shikenkan Gokko)
    • This is an adventure RPG game where the player must aim to pass the exam without being disqualified by Hisoka. It is multiple-choice and there are multiple routes and endings.
    • Storyline: One day, you receive an invitation from Hisoka. He writes that you are filled with much promise and that he is willing to test you for the sake of your future. In hopes of testing your current skills, you decide to meet him at the place he designated on his invitation.
    • It can only be played with a smartphone on this website.
  • Nen Ability Camera (念能力カメラ, Nen Nōryoku Kamera)

Game Teaser[]

Prior to the release of Hunter × Hunter Arena Battle, a teaser game was released. It is an interactive RPG game that challenges players to think and complete multiple tests in order to get obtain their Hunter License. Although the official Twitter page for the game is currently being used for Arena Battle game updates, the account is still an important part of the teaser game and the teaser can still be played on a PC or mobile device on this website. The official account originally had the appearance of Satotz's Twitter account with his face as the profile picture and Hunter Association logo as the account's header image.
