In the Theater Venue on Tier 2 of the Black Whale, the announcer welcomes the passengers and explains that the voyage will last two months. In front of a large map and holding a microphone, she continues by saying that after they exit humanity's known waters, they will refuel and perform a final check of the ship. She stresses that the air will be more dangerous than the sea and cites severe storms and flying creatures as reasons why the ship's top dome will have to be closed. She concludes her presentation by saying that after five more weeks of being rocked by rough seas, they will finally reach the Dark Continent. The crowded auditorium then cheers and applauds.[1]
