Plot[]
Succession Contest arc[]
In a flashback at Meteor City, after recovering a videotape from the junk piles, Chrollo eventually reaches a large church and makes his way inside. Lisores welcomes him back and asks if he is studying videos again. Chrollo says he is and points out that more small graves are outside. Lisores says that they even enter the internal residential zones now to abduct more and more kids who never return, warning Chrollo not to visit the outskirts alone. Chrollo says that he's going to the video room, and Lisores tells him to take his time, adding that the previous visitor is still there. In the church's basement, Lisores addresses an older individual and tells them that Chrollo has great promise based on his curiosity and intelligence, wondering if his ideas could be of use to the elders. The individual replies that it would be wonderful if Chrollo could help fix the problems plaguing the city.[1]
After Chrollo and some of his friends decide to dub one of the videotapes, Lisores announces that there will be a special screening at the church and welcomes many of the children with snacks. Phinks is left confused when Sarasa holds a bowl of snacks near his face, and she asks him to help hand them out. He angrily wonders why he has to help, but when Lisores looks in his direction, and Sarasa continues to hold up the bowl, Phinks quickly takes it and tells the rejoicing children to get their snacks if they haven't taken any. While he sets up the projector inside the church, Lisores tells the children to take their seats and wait until the screening starts. Backstage, Chrollo asks Lisores what the problem is, and he explains that the sound tape is tangled up, saying that while they could cut it to fix the problem, it would take a while. After Chrollo asks Lisores for the microphone, Uvogin yells from the back of the auditorium and wonders if Chrollo has nothing else to play, with Machi kicking him and telling him to be quiet. After the performance, as the audience cheers and applauds, several children are seen mimicking the Power Cleaners' moves, with Lisores shaking Chrollo's hand and giving him a pat on the head.[3]
After Sarasa's death, Chrollo and his friends gather around her body lying in a casket at the church, calling her beautiful and saying that it's like she's still alive. Lisores tells them that it's called embalming, explaining that it's a technique used to restore and keep a person's body as close as possible to how it was when they were alive. He adds that it's a miracle that her body was able to be restored so well given the condition it was in, asking them to thank the embalmer, Ms. Renko.[4]
