Little is known about Noko's personality. She seems to be a friend of Gon's since she headed down to the docks to greet him when he departed.[2]
Plot[]
Hunter Exam arc[]
Noko is among those at the front of the crowd when Gon presents the Master of the Swamp to Mito. She is later seen at the docks on the day of Gon's departure from Whale Island, smiling at him.[2]
Yorknew City arc[]
Gon mentions Noko to Killua in a conversation while they hang out in the forest of Whale Island.[1]

Trivia[]
- In a 2023 Q&A on the Iwakura and Yoshizumi's Show, Togashi revealed a discarded ending for the series. This ending describes an alternative future in which it is implied that Noko and Gon had married at some point and, eventually, had children together.
Anime and Manga Differences[]
- In the manga, Noko smiles at Gon when he departs,[2] but in the 2011 anime adaptation, she is seen crying.[3]
- Gon does not mention Noko in the 1999 anime adaptation, but her back is seen briefly when Gon brings the Master of the Swamp into the village.
