Ridge (リッジ, Rijji) is a Hunter[1] and Royal Bodyguard for Prince Luzurus.[2]
Appearance
Ridge has dark skin, a big nose, and thick lips. His dark hair is arranged in a ridge-like haircut.[1] He has a dark, vertical line resembling a tear painted or tattooed under each of his eyes.[3][2] During his rap battle performance, he wore a black long-sleeved shirt underneath a patterned shirt,[1] whereas he dons a black suit with a white tie while on duty as a bodyguard.[3]
Personality
Little is known about Ridge's personality, but he seems to take free-style rap battles rather seriously.[1]
Plot
Succession Contest arc
When, on the first day of voyage, Kurapika reveals the existence of Nen beasts, Luzurus summons Ridge, Basho, and the third Hunter in his employ to find out more about his Guardian Spirit Beast and Nen. He demands that one of them be with him at all times.[3]

Being a Hunter, Ridge also knows Nen and can use it on some level. It was, however, never shown.[1]
Trivia
- His original Japanese name, リッジ (Rijji), could be a loan-word from the English "ridge" and a loose reference to the character's hairstyle.
- At the time of his introduction, Ridge was white-skinned and his hair style was totally different too.[3]
