Ryoji has a chiseled chin, narrow eyes, and wears his hair slicked back. Like the other Royal Bodyguards, he wears a black suit and a tie.[1]

Ryoji presents himself as calm, stoic, and overall quiet. He seems to care about Prince Fugetsu Hui Guo Rou, as he, along with Bachaem, are the only bodyguards genuinely trying to protect her.[1]

Ryoji and Bachaem stand guard in Prince Fugetsu's room, realizing they're the only ones that truly want to protect the Prince.[1] Ryoji along with Yushohi stand guard by Prince Kacho's bedside and soon are caught by surprise by Melody and Keeney who come to check up on the Prince's safety.[2] Sometime afterward, Ryoji continues to stand guard by Prince Fugetsu's room. At the same time, Yushohi places the "Stinger Ball" of his How to Get Away with MurderNen ability close to Ryoji's ears to provoke a response with its buzzing. Ryoji does not react to the construct's noise, leading Yushohi to conclude that he cannot use Nen.[3]
