Sarasa (サラサ, Sarasa) was an inhabitant of Meteor City.[1]

Appearance[]

Sarasa was a short-statured girl with long hair with pigtails on both sides. She is also always seen with her heart-shaped purse.[1]

Personality[]

Sarasa was an extroverted, spunky, positive, and enthusiastic girl. She also had a mischievous, albeit good-natured side.[1] Sarasa was also a kind-hearted and forgiving person, as Chrollo remarked she would not like him to avenge her death by killing people.

She was also noted to be punctual, always arriving at the show preparation early.

Background[]

Sarasa originated from Meteor City, a junkyard city inhabited by outcasts. One day, Sarasa and Sheila meet up with Pakunoda. The three then meet with Chrollo to do the voiceovers to the Power Cleaners videotape he found.[1]

Plot[]

Chap 395 - Two sides of Meteor City

Sarasa, Sheila, Pakunoda, and Chrollo dub an episode of the Mighty Sweepin' Rangers

Sarasa was first introduced with her friend, Sheila, when Chrollo petitioned more aid to do dubbing for the Power Cleaners show, in which she preferred to be 'Orange'; the two joined Pakunoda and Chrollo to dub the show for the next screening event in the Church.[1]

Chap 396 - Phinks

Sarasa convinces Phinks and Feitan to assist passing out candy to everyone

On the screening day, Sarasa was shown distributing the snacks to the children. The group then meets Uvo, Phinks, and Feitan, who threaten them. Sarasa managed to get Phinks to help them distribute the snacks, commenting that he is a "soft person" at heart. Sarasa, along with Chrollo, Pakunoda, and Shiela, then started the show and voiceovers and successfully managed to captivate the audience despite problems with the video.[2]

Chap 396 - The Troupe

The "Troupe" before it was formally named

On their way home, Sarasa and the others were confronted again by Uvogin, Machi, Phinks, and Feitan, remarking that they wanted to beat up Chrollo for initially stealing his tape. Sarasa, however, confidently walked up to Uvogin and loudly exclaimed Uvogin's real feelings about how moved he was by Chrollo's performance and teased him by saying that she 'dubbed' him while grinning widely. Thanks to her, Uvogin managed to express his true feelings and form a friendship with Chrollo's group, Machi, Phinks, and Feitan. They then decided to help the voiceover and eventually made some makeshift 'performing troupe', though they had not thought of a name yet.[2]

Chap 396 - Sarasa

Sarasa heading off into the junk yard in hopes of finding another video tape

One day after the group was formed, Sarasa walked alone to the junkyard to look for more videos of 'Power Cleanup Rangers' while a child trafficker was nearby to 'hunt'.[2] The next day, at another screening event, the others remarked that Sarasa came on late, yet quickly realized that she was missing. Chrollo was close to tears, but Uvogin assured them that she probably got hurt and stuck somewhere. Chrollo took full responsibility for letting her go home alone and got the other children to help find her.[3]

Chap 397 - The members saying goodbye

Sarasa's funeral

When Chrollo searched for her, he found her purse leading to a forest. In there, they found Sarasa's dead body, seemingly mutilated and put on for show. The troupe was devastated, and Uvogin nearly stormed off out of grief and anger. Machi offered to take her body home for a proper burial, commenting on how painful and hard it was for Sarasa to experience the tragedy. Later on, her body was restored back and embalmed. Uvogin buried the 'Power Cleaners' video with her as a memento.[3]
