The Spell Card Shop NPC is a non-player character (NPC) shopkeeper at the Spell Card Shop in Masadora, Greed Island.[1]
Appearance[]
The Spell Card Shop NPC has large eyes and long hair that reach her shoulders. She wears a hat with multiple dark spots of varying sizes, two large eyes, a nose, and a mouth, resembling the general expression of a frog. She also wears a dress with a cross-shaped design around her neck and multiple pieces of jewelry on her fingers and wrists. In the 2011 anime adaptation, she has blonde hair and blue eyes; her dress and hat are light blue, with the latter having dark blue eyes and white spots.[1]
Personality[]
Unlike her Trade Shop NPC counterparts, the Spell Card Shop NPC discloses information delightful and bubbly. She also emphasizes how spell cards work, telling players to put the cards in their books before they leave and warning them about buying too many.[1]
Plot[]
Greed Island arc[]
Although Biscuit is confident that every member of Nickes' alliance was killed by the Bombers, she tells Gon that they are likely to encounter them later, adding that they may need to go by the alliance's hideout to look for clues. She then suggests they start collecting spell cards, asking Gon if he wants to sell the monster cards they have collected, and head to the Spell Card Shop. Gon energetically agrees, and the two continue walking toward Masadora.[1]
After the two arrive at the shop, the NPC tells them how lucky they are since they just received a new shipment of cards after they were sold out for a while. Gon and Biscuit immediately realize that the cards are the ones that were being hoarded by Nickes' alliance. The NPC then politely asks them to open their packs inside the store and tells them to put the cards in their books before leaving. She warns them that any cards that don't fit will disappear once they leave, telling them not to buy too many. Biscuit says they can't fill up their slots, but Gon replies that it will be better to buy more, with each purchasing 60 spell cards.[1]
