- Actually, her name is a bit of an issue. Viz calls her "Sniper," but the Japanese for her name is written as "スパー(Supaa)"--typically, the word is translated as "spar." But it's also clear that her name is intentionally supposed to derive from the word "Sniper," written "スナイパー" in Japanese. The localized version of her name is one of those situations like "Blovuuda" being changed to "Bloster"--in order to preserve the meaning of the pun in English, the words have to be altered.
