Tang Zhao Li Hui Guo Rou (トウチョウレイ=ホイコーロ, Tōchōrē Hoikōro) is the Third Queen of the Kakin Empire and third wife of King Nasubi. She gave him one son, Prince Zhang Lei.[1]
Appearance[]
Not much is known about Tang Zhao Li's appearance as she has yet to make a physical appearance in the story. Her portrait is shown in an overview of the princes with their mothers and guards. In this portrait, Tang Zhao Li has short, curly, blonde hair, a thin nose, large eyes, and dark skin.[2]
Tang Zhao Li appears as a silhouette when the 14 Princes are first introduced.[3] However, her hairstyle then does not line up with her later portrait,[2] indicating that her design may not yet have been finalized then.
Plot[]
Succession Contest arc[]
Queen Tang Zhao Li's name is first mentioned as mother of 3rd Prince Zhang Lei when Kakin's 14 Princes are first revealed, and is one of King Nasubi's 8 wives. She is pictured as a silhouette.[4]
Shortly after the departure ceremony, an unknown attacker kills five of Woble's guards, including an unnamed guard for Tang Zhao Li. As a result, Kurapika uses his Dowsing Chain on the remaining guards and identifies two guards who are not truly affiliated with Kurapika's employer Oito. The guards are restrained and divulge the Queens' espionage system to Kurapika, Oito, and Woble's other remaining guard to explain themselves before they are murdered by Sayird when he gets manipulated by Momoze's Guardian Spirit Beast.[5]
In Hinrigh's investigation to account for the possibility that Hisoka could be a stowaway on the Black Whale. Hinrigh orders his subordinate Connelly to contact Queen Tang Zhao Li and request that she has the army perform a round of passenger I.D. and ticket verifications.[6]

This particular issue arose when their mother Queen Sevanti sent all of Momoze's Hunters and servants to Marayam. Since we only got to see 4/5 of Momoze's Hunters and 2/3 of her servants by that time, we can't say for certain which prince the marked characters initially belonged to. |

Trivia[]
- Every queen of Kakin has a numerical theme on their name that corresponds to their marital status, except for her. Her name doesn't mean "three" in any language, though "chourei" could be a corruption of the English word "three" or the Italian "tre", especially in Southern Italian dialects which pronounce the number "tri"/"tre" with a sound in between a "t" and a "ch".
