Summary[]
After learning that Chimera Ants have attacked Meteor City, several Phantom Troupe members journey there to eradicate the threat. In her giant nest nearby, Zazan uses her stinger to mutate and control dozens of the city's residents.
The Troupe members decide that it's a race to kill the Queen, and each finds an opponent: Bonolenov defeats the Gun-toting Ant, Phinks defeats Gorilla, Shizuku defeats Pike, Shalnark defeats Pell and Boki, Kalluto defeats Small Beetle, and after struggling at first, Feitan uses his Pain Packer ability to defeat the transformed Zazan.
Elsewhere, Gon and Killua successfully sneak into East Gorteau and realize that the selection process has already started, discovering empty villages and mass graves. After the two go their separate ways, Gon is ambushed by Snake (whom he easily incapacitates) and then by Hollow and Bat, whose teamwork gives him trouble at first, but he eventually overcomes the two Ants.
Neferpitou senses Killua saving villages and warning them about the genocide, and orders Leol's squad to take care of the problem. While Pitou uses the manipulated Ming Jol-ik to order Peijin's citizens to stay in their homes, Flutter uses his surveillance ability to warn Cheetu about an ambush set by Knuckle and Shoot, also tracking Killua through the dense forests and ordering soldier Ants to attack him.
