Summary[]
After Kurapika easily disarms Sayird and uses Steal Chain to borrow his ability, the Royal Army arrives to clean up the scene, leaving Oito and Woble with only two bodyguards. Before leaving the banquet, Halkenburg tells his father that he wishes to withdraw from the succession battle. The King sees the Guardian Spirit Beasts of his children, explaining that they neither kill one another nor attack those who have them. After hearing Kurapika's emergency call, many of the Princes are interested in the concept of Nen and Nen beasts. Benjamin argues with Camilla in front of his father, and initially decides to begin killing his siblings, but Balsamilco calms him down and convinces him to use his soldiers to observe the other Princes, who are told to use lethal force if they have to defend themselves.
One of these soldiers, Vincent, kills Sandra and confronts Kurapika and Bill, who subdue him before he can harm anyone else. After Vincent commits suicide, Benjamin sends Babimyna as his replacement. Kurapika transfers Sayird's ability to Oito and plans to have her use it in order to gather information on the other Princes. It's revealed that every second Kurapika has Emperor Time activated, he loses one hour of his life. Shortly afterwards, Zhang Lei invites Kurapika and Oito to a meeting so that he can learn more about Nen.
Four hours into the voyage, the actions of all the Princes are shown, and in the bottom tier of the Black Whale, a distraught Chrollo is seen among the crowd of people. While teaching Zhang Lei's guards about Nen, Kurapika has Oito use Sayird's ability on a roach, planning to use the insect to spy on the other Princes. But when Oito checks on Momoze, she finds the Prince being strangled by an unknown guard. Kurapika falls unconscious from the strain of using Emperor Time, and Hanzo resolves to avenge Momoze's death. Theta continues teaching Nen to Tserriednich, although the Prince begins to question how truthful she is being.
Kurapika wakes up after nine hours and realizes that he has had Emperor Time activated for 12 hours (meaning that roughly five years have been taken off his lifespan). He convinces Oito to continue using Sayird's ability, but when she goes to observe Tserriednich's quarters, his Guardian Spirit Beast appears in the air duct and eats the bug. Several Princes send their bodyguards and servants to learn Nen from Kurapika in the promised two-week time frame. During the lesson, someone uses an ability called Silent Majority and has four snakes attack Barrigen to drain him of his blood (the same attack that killed Woody and the others), shifting Kurapika's focus to finding the assassin among the group.

Trivia[]
- The volume cover is an edited version of the color page for Chapter 361.
- In the first panel of the bonus scene between Chapter 365 and Chapter 366, Einstein's E = mc2 equation can be seen on one of the wall panels in Room 1014.
Intertextuality and References[]
- A bonus scene on page 28 between Chapter 361 and Chapter 362 changes the dialogue between Shimano and Kurapika in a scene from Chapter 364, to Shimano asking Kurapika whether he prefers 'Kanji Keyaki' or 'Hiragana Keyaki'; Kurapika dismisses the question as one of the stupidest questions in the world, saying he cannot choose between them.
- Kanji Keyakizaka46 (櫸坂46) and Hiragana Keyakizaka46 (けやき坂46) were two subgroups of Keyakizaka46, a J-Pop idol group which author Yoshihiro Togashi is known to be a fan of.
- Kanji Keyakizaka46 would later rebrand themselves as Sakurazaka46, and Hiragana Keyakizaka46 would rebrand themselves as Hinatazaka46; the former of these two former sub-groups has many references throughout the Succession Contest arc.
- In Chapter 373, Camilla's Cat's Name says "ネる, ねル, ネル, ね (neru, neru, neru, ne)" as it kneads Musse into life energy to revive Camilla. Perhaps coincidentally, while
練 る (neru) does mean to knead, ねる (neru) is also the name of Nagahama Neru ( 長 濱 ねる), the Keyakizaka46 member that was the reason for Keyakizaka46 having subgroups Kanji Keyaki and Hiragana Keyaki. - Members from both the Kanji Keyaki and Hiragana Keyaki subgroups performed the song Neko no Namae, which Camilla's Cat's Name is likely a reference to.
- Kanji Keyakizaka46 (櫸坂46) and Hiragana Keyakizaka46 (けやき坂46) were two subgroups of Keyakizaka46, a J-Pop idol group which author Yoshihiro Togashi is known to be a fan of.
- A bonus scene between Chapter 365 and Chapter 366 changes the dialogue that Vincent has with Kurapika and Bill after he is restrained in Chapter 364, to Vincent angrily claiming that Oito had said he looks like Japanese comedian Yu Sawabe as justification for him attacking her, before learning it was a meant as a compliment.
- Yu Sawabe is a host on Soko Magattara, Sakurazaka? (そこ曲がったら、櫻坂?), the main variety show of J-Pop idol group Sakurazaka46.
