World Tree Birds are a species of bird that nests and inhabits at the top of the World Tree.[1]

These birds are extremely large, with plumage of varying colors. An adult World Tree Bird has cat-like ears and a long beak for carrying food. The chicks are smaller and rounder, lacking an adult's ears and long beak; instead, they have stubby beaks.[1]
Behavior[]
The World Tree Birds usually nest atop the World Tree. When the mother gathers food for her offspring, the chicks wait for her to return at the end of the day. As the mother returns, the chicks will start bouncing and calling for their mother.[1]

Gon encounters this species of bird when he climbs at the top of the World Tree to meet Ging.[1] While Ging and Gon talk, the mother bird feeds her babies a freshly caught fish, and later the babies fall asleep.[2]
