Plot[]
Greed Island arc[]
Yabibi and his teammate Montreux are amongst several other groups who are invited to a meeting organized by Kazsule to discuss how to deal with the Bombers. When asked about how to steal the Bombers' cards, Asta suggests using brute force, but Yabibi objects to the idea since they don't know the Bomber's abilities. Kazsule then proposes an alliance with the other players, and after Killua and Asta settle their argument, Gon divulges the Bomber's abilities to the group. After Asta shares some tips and tricks about the game, Yabibi explains that after obtaining S-rank cards, you need to use cards like "Mimic" and others on them. When everyone in the group details tips and tricks about the game, an alliance is formed. Yabibi is surprised to hear that Gon's group has acquired the "Wild Luck Alexandrite" card, and his partner Montreux offers to trade three S-rank cards for it. Kazsule refocuses their attention, and the group goes over what cards they can get a monopoly on in order to hinder the Bombers' progress. Yabibi suggests that they first use "List" to find out what cards can be monopolized, and it's ultimately decided to try and obtain the "Plot of Beach" card. After Amana uses "Guidepost" to locate the card, the alliance uses "Accompany" to head to Soufrabi.[1]
Upon arriving in Soufrabi, Kazsule explains how to obtain an SS-rank card, and the alliance splits up into groups and searches the town for information on the "Plot of Beach" card. Yabibi and Montreux ask an old man NPC about the card, but he claims that he doesn't know anything about it. Eventually, Kazsule finds a female NPC who has information about the card and agrees to tell them where to find it if they drive Razor and his pirates out of town. Amana surmises that they activated a preexisting condition to have the NPC divulge such information, which Yabibi agrees with. The alliance members then make their way to the pirates' base in town and are challenged to a sumo match by a large pirate named Bopobo, who promises to take the group to Razor if they can defeat him.[2]
After Zeho tries to beat him and fails, Gon saves Zeho and Killua defeats Bopobo. The group is then led to the pirates' lighthouse base, where Razor challenges the alliance members to a series of sports trials. Yabibi's teammate, Montreux, takes the first challenge against the pirate boxer.[3] Montreux, however, loses the match and the alliance members lose the other matches on purpose to find out what sports trials there are to acquire the card. Kicked out of the base, the alliance breaks up because it's believed that with the requirement of fifteen members, the Bombers have no way to acquire the "Plot of Beach" card.[4]
Yabibi's name is mentioned in Gon's binder.[5] He and Montreux are killed by the Bombers sometime after leaving the pirates' lighthouse base.[6]
Abilities & Powers[]
Gon's team estimated him to be too weak to defeat Razor's convicts, as turned out to be the case. Yabibi was also unable to see the pirate boxer's teleporting uppercut.[4]
Nen[]
Due to being able to access Greed Island, Yabibi was capable of utilizing Nen.[7]
